  • Only one line of music.

This is probably a good app for writing down little ideas that pop into your head, but not for writing a whole piece. It only does 1 part and I can't figure out how to even change the cleff.
  • Finale incorporation necessary

This is a seriously cool app. Human interface is amazing, and extremely easy to learn.

But there's always gonna be people like me who want it to be better.

What I'm looking for is a way to import and export .mus and import .mid files. I work mainly in Finale, but it's installed on a desktop computer, so it's not quite as portable as an iPhone.

Also, there is barely any percussion instruments, and it would be great to have those as well, with the standard percussion notation.

Once something is done to fix these issues, I will gladly give this the five-star rating it deserves! :)

  • Better

It's much better but I have one problem. I can't delete the old songs I don't need anymore. The update helped a lot though. Keep the updates coming!
  • Crashes too much

It crashes more than once a minute, making it almost unusable. Every time it crashes, I lose the work that I entered. Very frustrating to use.
  • Amazing app!

This app is the best music app I have ever used. Though its missing one little thing: along with triplets, quadruplets, etc, it also needs duplets. Please add that in a new update.
  • Excellent app!

Absolutely love it! Only one thing need-grace notes(
  • Amazing!

I love this app. I have the iPhone version and the iPad version and they are both truly amazing! I figured entering music this way would be cumbersome, but it's incredibly easy and intuitive. I can't think of a single thing that would improve it. Well done!
  • Good app just 1 problem

I have the IPhone 4s and the "please wait" prompt appears continuously when composing. This freezes the score until you swipe to another measure. Hope this can be fixed. Otherwise it's a great app so far.
  • Not too bad but crashes

I bought Maestro and was very disappointed, then got this one and I love it except for two things:
It's very practical and extremely easy to use, but crashes way too much and tells me to close my background apps when there aren't any running, as well as everything else incoming off with the wifi as well. Secondly, I noticed that some of the functions, such as trill and fortepiano are greyed out; you can use them but they don't work in playback. I wish that worked. Other than those minor things, this app is totally worth the purchase, and way better than the other apps. iWriteMusicProject, please fix these few things and it'd be perfect! Thanks for creating!

  • Awesome and easy to use

I love the fact that it plays what your writing. Also I like that putting everything in place is easy. There is much capability to this app and as I start college I can't wait to use it in my music theory classes and what ever else there is! I love the update! I can't wait till the next update when you add the caesura symbol!
