  • Stats not showing

I’m getting an error, even though I’m logged in. “Login” “An other account has already this account address” when I select “My Stats” or I select “Track your Day”. I have logged out an back in, uninstalled the app and reinstalled it and changed my password. I still get the error when selecting those 2 items. I have no problem logging into my Epic account via my browser or even within the app. If I select “My Stats” or “Track my Day” I get the same error every time. I’m using an iPhone 13 Pro Max with IOS 15.2.

  • Not much help at Park City

The app shows lift status but early season there are a lot of runs closed. With no information on closed runs you can get to the top of a lift with no way down for newer skiers. The app was inaccurate in location on the mountain. They don’t give paper maps but half the time the map won’t load due to lack of service. And worst of all, our first day the lifts opened more than an hour late and the app was still showing a 2 minute wait time. Basically at park city if you are using this app you better ski to the big map at the top of the run for any useful info.

  • Slow, crashes, poor UI

While the idea behind using an app to manage your day on the mountain is great, this app fails in the execution. The user experience is not intuitive, with the Plan Your Day section a bit confusing, and too reliant on buggy web views of items. The app is prone to some bugs as well, most recently the app crashed every time I tried to load the trail map, which is not iteal when you cannot obtain an paper map any longer. Speaking of maps, trying to read a large mountain trail map on a small phone screen in the cold is a very poor customer experience Vail.

Apart from the app, the information inside the app is not always up-to-date. For example, not all dining locations ahve their hours up-to-date.

Vail: if you're going to rely on an app for all guest navigation on the mountain, you really need to dedicate more resources to developing the app and maintaining the data inside it.

  • Very buggy

They added back some time features that were missing last year. The most recent update did not work for me for a few days but then worked Intermittently for a few days before dying again. The gps tracker was a nice addition but has worked just two of five days so far. The last two days the app just spins trying to load data and fails. Also, the lift/trail status data inexplicably seems to be sourced separately from the same info on their website as they don’t match. Recommend not using until they release a stable version because it is a giant headache.

  • Go back to the basics because this app is GARBAGE!

This app is TERRIBLE! It features are never updated! It will say there is a 5 min line to get on a lift when in reality it is 30-45min. The weather is also never updated and only forecasts a day or two out. Even after a pow day it will say 2” when in reality that was from two days ago and really they have 8”. The grooming reports are also inconsistent. Please go back to using a website or even a phone call where you can listen to a recording of a weather report in the morning. Or for god sake at least give an update to a third party forecaster like OpenSnow so the conditions are available. Vail you have ruined every mountain that you have taken over. Time to boycott everyone! 1.5 Billion dollars on hand and a 76% increase in pass sales, yet you can’t give us a simple condition report or even open your lifts. FIGURE IT OUT!

  • Better than paper maps!

Love that Epic is getting away from paper trail maps and focusing on this app instead. I’ve used at Vail and Breckenridge and super happy with navigation, ability to see wait times (mine were shorter than it reported) and tracking my runs. A must-use if you have a pass.
  • Good app, blatant deception in times

There are a bunch of useful features to the interactive maps, but there are two problems.

    1. Lift times are accurate on a light traffic weekday, but with any traffic the main lifts max out at ~15 minutes and smaller lifts will never say over 10 minutes even on holiday weekends when lines are insane.

    2. No options to default to open trails only in the app. Have to go through a bunch of steps to actually get a picture of what is open on that day, and do it again the next time I open the app. Very frustrating when only 40% of terrain is open due to staffing.

  • Wait times Wildly inaccurate

Went up to park city because the app was reporting 10 minute wait times on the lifts so I thought it would not be a busy day. Nope. App was so inaccurate it wasn’t even funny. Even as I stood in line for 58 minutes to get on the lift, the app was still reporting 10 minute wait times. I gave up and left after 1 run because I couldn’t stand it anymore. Either fix the feature or remove it entirely.

The rest of the app is fine, nothing special really. The interactive map is nice outside of the wait times being super wrong.

  • Logged into account but not stats

The app has some issues that should be basics. I could log into my account and see my info (because it’s just loading the site in the app), but for stats and plan your day, it keeps saying that my email address is used by another account. It seems that the login info is just not up to date nor real time. This should be super basic - the app should be pinging login real time as opposed to an old database that has static login info.

  • Never works right

This app is meant to make the vail properties an easier experience. It accomplishes the opposite. It crashes. Or doesn’t load at all. Or 99% of the app doesn’t work or says there is no data. I don’t understand how they ever could release updates with so many issues. It’s honestly really embarrassing how poorly this functions. It feels like not a single test was done, that they just released it and crossed their fingers. I’ve never seen such a poorly functioning app from a legitimate organization. Maybe ask some third graders to help you out and it will be more successful.
