Transas user friendly
Very good system. Had used it before on a chart plotter and found it same. I find it user friendly and for the money it is good value compared to others that make you pay for add ons.Moxyfish
Excellent charts.
Used this in New Zealand prolifically and at times was my primary GPS. Charts are good and the updates to the charts are handy too.
I often use this system as my anchor watch as I can keep it in my berth on power so if an alarm goes off I don’t have to sprint to the cockpit!
Just bought the Pacific Island maps and they are good however there is no global wraparound so you have to scroll to the ‘other side’ of the map to see something that is just a few miles from your current position!
It is now my tertiary navigation device on my iPad, after c-maps on laptop and installed lowrance.

Fantastic App...why buy a chart plotter
Took me a little study to learn it but very user friendly once you work it out. READ THE MANUAL...Dick Dunlop
Good product
Very happy with the app, however am hoping that a future update will add the ability to see a summary of each track (course and distance of each leg is currently unavailable). Also could do with tides and currents accessible on the chart to compete with rival chart apps.Scotty 360

Incomplete details
Some serious omissions of lights in critical areas on the free sample area I downloaded (Wellington NZ - some vitally important Tory Channel lights missing). So I would be very unsure of buying folios on this basis. Otherwise the app is good to use and has some great features, but chart accuracy is obviously paramount.Show lessJaybee222
Great App
Our regular chart plotter died on day 2 of our 3 week boating vacation on the West Coast of BC. We found and downloaded this app with the appropriate charts and were very pleased. Since we were travelling to unfamiliar destinations, this app worked great in plotting courses, recording tracks, and even estimating travel times and fuel consumption. Now that they have added some anchor alarms etc. it is even better. We paid well over a $100 for the same charts for our chart plotter so these charts are actually economical. You definitely need this at least as a back up. Worked great on the iPad and I understand that once you buy the charts you can use them on all of your devices. Side note, West Coast charts were restricted from downloading over cellular network directly to iphone due to their large size so we connected iPad to iPhone4 thru hotspot and downloaded it to iPad over "wifi". Worked great, downloaded in a just a few minutes and we were back on the go! This is my first recommended app.Show lessDarren_Rossi
