Constantly shutting down
On my latest passage from Tunisia to Sicily my iSailor crashed 19 times , it also done this when I sailed to Tunisia last year . I’m very disappointed with this as it happened at critical times good job I also run open cpn charts but I have my AIS linked to iSailor and not good when at night the charts crash and shut down. I’ve used iSailor for over 4 years and never had this problem up until recently. Please advise what I can do , I use a brand new Samsung tablet that is only used for this purposeShow lessmrronone
Solid charting app. Needs some upgrades.
iSailor is a solid charting app. It presents the charts in a way that experienced paper chart users would expect. Lots of customization available too.
Add-on subscriptions for things like tides, currents, AIS, etc.
It hasn’t been updated in three years though, and in those three years other charting apps have caught up and surpassed iSailor, especially in things like route planning, automatic route planning, overlays, etc.
I use iSailor as my chart plotter but use other apps for route planning and such. Always good to have a few apps to refer to and to compare.Show lessSteve in Kitsap
Rip off?
When somebody purchase an item, only to find later that the seller decided that they are only renting it to you. So even tho you purchased the item, you must pay annual rent.
Then they get you again! My original version covered both my iPhone and my iPad. In preparation for a passage, I paid the rental fee for the app on my iPhone. But now they want me to rent the iPad version too. Quite nasty and greedy. I do my planning on my phone, and navigate within the iPad.Show lessChanging Spots

Good chart software but too cluttered
The software works well and the charts are reasonably priced. The chart quality is excellent. The issue is there is way too much information on the charts at certain zoom levels to the point where you can’t see anything but massive amounts of text all jumbled up on the chart. You can’t control the amount of detail like depth readings, buoy names, location names, etc which is displayed as text on top of the chart.Show lessBrentm
Poor Management
Was a fantastic app now is absolute rubbish who ever changed it in Wartsila should be sacked. Don’t go anywhere near it. Wartsila should just scrap it after the mess they’ve made of itBartyboy1969

Not sure why I can’t get AIS data on other vessels around me. They don’t even appear on the chart for me at all. Disappointing to say the least.JohnCS12
Great app!
I’ve been using this for years while sailing in the Chesapeake Bay and off the coast of Spain. Some of the features require some practice to master but it’s generally very intuitive and has lots of great features. I highly recommend it.Jg4bus
My Go-To Backup
This program has been great. The user interface is simple, but does everything I need it to do. Having a separate data set on charting information is invaluable.
Since I have Navionics charts on my main chart plotter, having that chart data repeated on my backup device is a waste, these charts are a different data set, and looking carefully at where they are different is a valuable input.
The subscription model for charts is perfectly reasonable. I mean, come on guys, if you want updated charts you have to PAY for them! If you are happy with old, out of date charts (why would you be???), just cancel the subscription and keep using the old ones.Show lessGreatKetch
