Airline Alerts Not Shared

An airline rep explained to me that Orbitz is their customer and so when they update flights the notification goes to Orbitz, not the passenger. Failure to pass the message on to me resulted in me arriving at the airport only to discover my flight has been cancelled.

Liars. Misleading.

I booked a trip to Thailand. First class. I spent $18,000. I canceled 2 of the 5 flights I booked and rebooked those 2 flights. I was told and emailed a refund confirmation. It has been 10 months with no refund. I have been getting the run around that they are β€œinvestigating β€œ my refund. I have submitted bank statements proving I never was refunded. They then claimed the refund was the airlines responsibility. Not true! Orbitz is a third party that is responsible for refunding my money. I posted on social media regarding this situation. I have had multiple customers reply to my post claiming Orbitz is a rip off and they don’t refund money for cancellations even when promised to do so. They stated that Orbitz blames the airline which is exactly what is happening to me now. Furthermore, several ex employees of Orbitz said this is standard business for Orbitz to have their employees drag out the refund process until the customer gives up on the refund. Absolutely disgusting. Orbitz is a company that takes advantage of people. They mislead, lie, misinform and blow off customers to keep their money. DO NOT USE ORBITZ! Book your trip directly through the airlines and hotels. DO NOT USE ORBITZ! You will never get your money back for cancellations. I have emails. Documentation of my refund promised but never given. Yet the airline owes me money. Yet my attorney says that Orbitz is the responsible party. DO NOT USE ORBITZ!

Good for the money.

An older and perhaps tired property that has seen better days but is still pretty nice and I feel was a good value for the money. Staff very friendly and, I was able to leave our car in the parking garage after our checkout until late that night as we had activities planned with friends. There is also a nice little bar with kitchen in lobby and the food was quite good. There is also an area to buy drinks and snacks. Bottom line, I would definitely stay here again.

PS The area is in downtown Denver and is a bit sketchy so be aware of your surroundings. Overall I think safe if not a bit disconcerting. We actually passed a woman in front of another nearby prominent hotel and she was smoking something out of tin foil using a lighter and long glass straw (directly on sidewalk in front of everyone and right in the way).

Nice family long weekend

Cute tiny house. A little bit could, but anyway, quite comfy.

Misleading pricing

I contacted the customer service after I found my price changed only after I paid for it. There is no indication of USD when selecting items. but they didn’t care much about it. I do not trust them at all. It’s a scam. They are talking about point of sale to be changed to Canada. But you have no option to do so in the app.

The prices were in usd and it was misleading as there is no indication for
USD while booking
Once I paid for my reservation price jumped up. I find this misleading

I see.
The currency will convert automatically based on your point of sale

Hoang Ngoc Anh
I see that you're using US point of sale at the moment
But I should know the price in my currency in advance
Hoang Ngoc Anh
I'm sorry for this inconvenience
What we are going to do here?
Hoang Ngoc Anh
Allow me to explain
When a user accesses the Orbitz platform, the system determines their point-of-sale based on the user's location, which is typically inferred from their IP address or user settings.
Once the point-of-sale is established, Orbitz automatically selects the currency that corresponds to that location. For example, a user in the United States will typically see prices in USD, while a user in Europe may see prices in EUR or GBP.

prices in usu, while a user in curope may see prices in EUR or GBP.
That is right. And I am in BC Canada. So should have shown me the Canadian dollar
Hoang Ngoc Anh
Yes, but at the time of booking, which point of sale were you using?
When downloaded the app it ask me for my current location. So I trust your app to select proper point of sale.
Hoang Ngoc Anh
The adjustment must be done manually, I'm sorry
Would you like to cancel this booking?
If I had an indication of currency used by your app I would have considered my options as well as adjustments.
At this point I would like to have compensation for the site not being straightforward with prices displayed.

I wish could modify the system for you
That is not possible, I'm so sorry
Can you do anything for the inconvenience the site has caused and keep me using your platform?
Hoang Ngoc Anh
Yes, I could help you to get a free cancellation
I can't guarantee that the hotel will approved, I'll try my best to negotiate with them
No I will keep it. However I will not be using this app and your site
Hoang Ngoc Anh
My apologies
Don't worry about canceling. Money wasn't the main concern. Principal of the way prices were displayed had me upset
Well I know now.

I truly understand how frustrating it can feel when pricing appears misleading, especially regarding currency conversion between USD and CAD. It's completely reasonable to expect the prices you see when booking a stay to accurately reflect the final amount you will be charged.
Your dissatisfaction with the platform is valid, and I want to assure you that your feedback is invaluable. We strive to enhance user experiences, and understanding where we fall short helps us to take meaningful steps forward.
I gave my feedback but you couldn't do anything. Did you even speak to your supervisor?
What would your supervisor do if I took legal action as I know I have a valid point and mistake is either your company's advertising or glitch in your app.
Either way your company would be responsible to compensate.

Poor flight options always turn up with no ability for user to marry up flights properly

Just

Mr An

I strongly disagree booking with this website, bcoz they not mention which currency they charging from us. When we search they showing the amount as Canadian Dollar, then when you complete booking then they Charged as US dollar from your account, with or any information. It’s truly cheating. I lost my money so from my experience please do not use this cheating ORBIT booking website or their app. Thanks
