Awful App - get charged twice!
I’ve had enough with this app. This is the 2nd time using the app recently where I’ve been charged twice! I booked a hotel through the app for a trip in November and when I got to the hotel, they said my reservation did not exist. I had to show them my paid receipt from Hotels Tonight and then 20+ mins later assigned a room. Then I look at my bank statement and the hotel charged me twice! I try contacting Hotels Tonight but they say I have to go through the hotel itself and have it figured out through them. Many phone calls, emails etc to have the charge reversed by someone. Meanwhile no one wants to take responsibility. It would be one thing if this was a one off but the same thing happened to me a few months ago!! Hotels tonight and another hotel! Obviously it’s a problem with Hotels Tonight not providing the adequate information. It’s incredibly frustrating and honestly not worth the hassle. And to to top it off, both times where the hotel charged me for my stay, their charge was a minimum $100 cheaper! Hotels Tonight definitely is not user friendly and has made me honestly not want to use them again. Their customer service is no where to be found and I’m left taking care of this mess. Beware anyone using this awful app!

Hotel Tonight
My daughter suggested I try this app as it’s her favourite. I see why. It has clear information and instructions and with it I found a hotel that I would like to stay in. Making the booking and payment was much easier than some other apps I’ve used. Very impressed.
Deceiving Currency Rate
I was booking a hotel in Toronto, Canada and there is nowhere near the rates of hotels that indicates the default currency is USD. Canada also uses the dollar system so it is presumptive of an application to assume that all users of Hotel Tonight are US-based. Buyer beware.

Sent Feedback and NO REPLY; Unexpected from Hotel Tonight
I seriously have never been so disappointed and mistreated by a hotel (citizenM - Downtown Los Angeles) as my partner and I were during our stay there. First off, at check-in the gentleman forgot to take or input a credit card for incidentals. Along with this, I asked if we could do a late check out just in case we had too much fun in DTLA. Unfortunately, he must’ve forgotten. He was really nice though.
This morning, we were awakened by loud knocking and a request to leave immediately. We immediately called the front and reminded them of what we had asked for. We were told it was fine. But soon thereafter received a call again asking for us to go to the front immediately since there was no card on file. While I understand policies and such. As a superintendent of schools, I say “approach determines response” and I was fuming. In the end, as we were leaving, I asked an attendant for information on a manager. She shared that he was there and she would ask him over. She clearly went to get him. She came back with a gentleman who didn’t greet or anything but stood there. She shared for me to email instead. How distasteful and disrespectful. I feel that there should be something done. I am appalled.
Hotel Tonight has always been great in customer service and I look forward to a resolution and response for this issue. CitizenM was a major disappointment.

Like an old friend
The app has been my travel sidekick for many years and like an old friend you can count on, it always comes through with a good bed to rest on and hopefully a free coffee maker in the room!
False advertising
I booked a hotel room with two beds but was given one bed. This app doesn’t offer easy communication to talk about the booking and find a resolution. I won’t be using this app again.
