  • Great App...but...

Alright, don’t let the title fool you. THIS is a G-Rate dice roller, honestly, it’s simple and really straightforward, it’s the best die roller I’ve ever used.
Now, yes it does have ads (developers gotta eat to) but the ads aren’t even annoying or invasive.
I ended up paying for the full version so I could micromanage a bit better. (It’s worth it if you have complex characters or formula. Or you are a work now, lazy later person.
You can tie in complex formulas easily. For instance, I have a Kinetisist who with a certain attack does 12d8+12+5 damage. And with a quick click it turns that complex math equation into: 67 damage.

Now: my only complaint is: the formula doesn’t allow multiplication or division.
If you are a Star Wars Saga ED player (now out of print) you know that certain star ship weapons deal multiplied damage (Like an X-wings lasers deal 5d10x2 damage)
So unfortunately I’ve had to resort to doing the math in my head/calculator (the horror!!)

I’m short: this is THE best die roller I’ve found.
    Period.
  • Incredibly Useful dnd App

I downloaded this as an on-the-fly dice roller, but over time have realized it’s capable of much, much more. At this point, I’ve essentially input my entire character: stats, inventory, and all, saving me the hassle of squinting at my character sheet and flipping through the player’s handbook for spell descriptions. This is already a 5-star app, but to make it 6-star (I’ll petition Apple) here are a few suggestions:

    1. Make toggling advantage/disadvantage/criticals possible.
    2. Make linking statistics to each other and folders to each other possible.
    3. Include cumulative number display for rolls and statistics.
    4. Add text notes as an option among folders, dice sets, etc.
  • Very useful for dice heavy games like 5e

Likes others have said, it takes a little time to learn all the features but well worth it. Starting it is fast to use the dice roller, but the real power is in the dice sets where you can set up a set for each character. Reduces the time I take on my turn by almost 50%.

Read the other reviews for tips on other features. Took

Enhancement request: I keep my to hit and damage in the same folder. I would like to be able to tie specific modifiers to specific dice rolls.
  • Subtly Powerful

I had this app for a few months and thought it was just a well done 3D dice roller. Then I discovered Dice Sets! You can create very powerful pseudo-coded sets of dice rolls that can be preconfigured for every roll a character could make. Also includes toggleable modifiers and stat tracking. Get the paid version. It’s worth it. Just needs a Clear All option to zero out an entire set’s previous rolls.
  • Rolls seem low...

I felt like the rolls were lower on average after using this app for about week, so I did a test. I rolled a d20 20 times and 16 out of the 20 times I rolled a ten or lower. Not sure if this is just the d20, but I would like the rolls to be slightly higher. Other than that, great app!
  • Great for DnD

This dice roller is really great because I don’t need to go out and buy more dice every time I loose them! I just don’t really get why they have In-app purchases for changing the color and stuff because who would waste their money on that. If you really want a different color be stupid and pay. But for those of you that are smarter, save your money! I give this app a 5 star because I love that you also have so many varieties of dices! Something that they should also add is customizable dices because you can choose what number you want it to go up to! That would be really cool!
  • Favorite dice roller, with one request

This is my favorite dice roller app, I love being able to program my rolls and character stats into the same app but I do have one small request, the ability to have the app rotate with the screen so I can use it next to my character sheet on an iPad, but I wont let that lower the score.
  • Great for late game

This app is awesome. At first it is a bit confusing, but I got an idea of how to use the basic die roller in 5 minutes. However, where this app really shines, is in the “dice sets” tab. This is incredibly useful for general things and especially for things like where you have to roll 10d6 for damage. Here you push a button and it instantly does it for you. There are a few things I would like to see added though. First I would like to see a tutorial, because as I said, the app is quite complex at first. Secondly, I would like to see an option for adding a customizable description to modifiers and rolls to remind you when to apply them and other bits and bobs like that. Overall, great app!
  • Great App. Wish it showed the individual dice rolls

This is a nice app. It’s clean, sleek, simple, and fast. I like the folders and the ability to roll a bunch of dice together the only thing I don’t like is that it doesn’t show what your individual rolls ARE, just what the total is. It’s not really a big deal I guess when the total is all that matters, but I would really just like to know what the individual numbers are that are adding together for the roll
  • Great way to keep track of info.

It would be way cool if you could Add a name and a Description to dice rolls and Statistics, just a pet peeve of mine how you can add a value but can’t explain what it is for and what is based on, so it would be cool if you could name the item and add a description to let you know how it works or why the value is there.

    Just a thought.
