  • Amazing bible software!

Accordance truly is an amazing bible software. I used to have one of the competitors software and I am so glad I changed! First it’s lightning fast, second, accordance has an incredibly large selection of texts, third you are able to seemly interface with all the texts!!! Imagine cross referencing your bible with dictionaries, commentaries, grammars, and map guides! The internet has free bibles on line but nothing like the tools available with Accordance! Transformed my bible study! Wow! I’m so glad I switched! Keep up the good work!

  • Leaders

Accordance sets a high bar for other Bible software companies. Since I came from another company to Accordance it’s easy for us to see the difference. Very eager to help and solve issues and always bringing something new to the software while keeping it updated with our other software. We are happy with Accordance and are looking forward to many more years together.

  • App and website don’t correlate well

I can’t log in to this app using my password from the website. When creating a password on the website, it’s requirements are no less than 12 characters (it will not save with anything less) and gives you a weak/strong meter that you have to pass before it will save but the app will not accept anything more than 6 characters and will not accept any special characters. (This apparently is a known problem as its in their FAQ pages in their website.) After resetting my password many times and trying to find one that will satisfy both the website and the app I GIVE UP!! Hopefully they can get this fixed.

  • Powered elegance

I have been a user of Accordance for many years as a lower end “hobbiest” with particular interests in Old Testament textual narrative, and septuagint studies and Vetus latina. The Accordance software is amazing, powerful, elegant, and accessible. I also have historical experience and use of Logos(Faithlife) and of the Olive tree Bible Software from its days as a Palm OS until now. Each has its own strengths and utilities, but Accordance holds my attention as a first-choice-go-to-work app package in textual studies as I approach them.

  • Great but a couple issues

Overall accordance is fantastic and has many excellent features and design. However, I frequently will add a note, hit “done” then the note simply does not show up. Also, I’ve had trouble finding all of my purchases in the easy install section. For instance, I’ve purchased the timeline package and have it installed on my computer. I even synced my computer with my iPad, but only the sampler will show up.
Other than those couple issues, great app!

  • Great for engaging the Text.

I have both Logos and Accordance. Logos has enormously more resources but I find them hard to use. About 90% of the time I want to just immerse myself in the (greek and Hebrew) Text. Accordance works really well for that — all I really want is to be able to highlight and look up a word that I don’t know and press on. Accordance is a lean well oiled machine for that use case, and also works well for looking up said word in multiple lexicons, and for doing nuanced word searches. But if you want to know what 89 different commentaries have to say, then you want Logos. There are times when I want to survey 89 different commentaries so I fire up Logos for that. But I always find Logos slow, confusing and awkward —- but the resources available are vast! Having both is the best of both worlds, but your mileage may vary.

  • You always cut off my computer

I work a lot of hours, and don’t get the time to get to Accordance on my computer as much as much as I would like too. But when I do finally get the chance to look something up on my computer, I have to call in and then it will work again. Sense I don’t usually have the time , I tend not to call. This only seems to happen to my computer. Retirement comes next year and I hope for this to change. I also wish the iPad would have a lot of the same resources the computer has.

  • Great resources for a fair price

I was considering Accordance vs Logos.
Decided to go with Accordance because it was less expensive.

So far a very nice digital library to have. Works wonderful on the iPhone. On Windows the program crashed several times using "research" function.
    Sync via Dropbox works perfectly.

Only thing I am missing is a note taking function. You can make notes to individual verses or one could write a whole paper using another function. However, on the phone or on a tablet, that function doesn't work. Why am I saying that?
I like taking notes during a sermon or while studying the Word. Since, the digital realm opens opportunities the paper world couldn't give, and Accordance became my new Bible to go to, I would love to "store" my thoughts and other valuable information as notes. In the paper Bible the space to put in notes is very limited, which it wouldn't be digitally.

Other than that, Accordance is very smooth to read/study the Bible. You can highlight, underline, put symbols in the text. Holding pressed on a word you don't know, it will amplify it and show you some information about it. Although the "note taking" function as I would like to have it is missing, the "notes" function for the individual verses is a worthwhile tool.

    Thanks for developing this software!

  • Love accordance with ore of the desktop features could come to iPad

I love accordance and have used it virtually every day since 2008 for sermon prep. I have now switches to my iPad Pro as my main and only machine. I would love it if more of the desktop features could come to the iPad. Perhaps catalyst could make this possible? I would even be willing to pay for upgrades like with the desktop version.

  • Thoughts from a long time user

Accordance is in my estimation the best Bible software package out there. Using it for over 20 years, it has undergone quite a lot of change. But at the heart is a fast and sophisticated search engine and high quality content suited for serious church goers all the way through pastors, people in ministry, and scholars. It does not do global searches, and the extended popular reading library is not as large as its main competitor, but it truly has the quality sources for in depth study at a quantity that usually makes those weaknesses irrelevant. If you have any serious mind to invest in a Bible software package, Accordance is my first choice. I use it consistently in my ministry.
