Accordance Great on An IPAD, User Unfriendly on My Laptop
After years of using Accordance, I find it to be a very powerful tool on my IPAD. As an example I can find a book of the Bible and a passage with ease and efficiency. It seems like a different matter on my laptop/desktop program. The adjoining pop up windows are confusing and not intuitive. Turning to a Bible Book and specific passage is relatively arduous when compared to the IPAD. I have to go find the drop down Bible list, look for the Book and then click on it.

This app is a powerful tool to be able to dive deeper into the Word of God and better understand the original language and word choices. This is my go-to for looking up the original words in Hebrew and Greek and God has used it to bring me fuller revelation in understanding His Word. Awesome Bible Study Tool
I’ve used Accordance for many years and have never been disappointed. It has an amazing array of resources, superior research tools, numerous ways to search for words, for grammatical structures, etc., and ease of use and speed of searches, etc., etc. I use it every day for both Bible reading and study. I’ve used Accordance for more than six years and can’t imagine a better,more powerful tool for biblical research. Great update!
This latest update to the Accordance iOS app is outstanding! I love being able to organize my library with folders, and the general feel and appearance is very appealing to me. I haven’t explored all the new features yet, but I can say I’m already impressed. This is a big step forward. I literally live with the Word through this app all day, every day. Don’t update until you read the EULA!
I have used Accordance on my Mac for over a decade and on my iDevices since I got them. I like Accordance better than the few other Bible programs I’ve tried. Based on my positive experience with the product I trusted the company to provide good updates as necessary. So I downloaded the current update and installed it on both iPhone and iPad. First thing you see is the new EULA.
You can’t move past it until you agree so I read it.
Turns out you have to agree to:
1. Receiving marketing emails (“a few a week “ / can opt out) AND
2. Quoting: “You also agree to receive marketing content within the product as contextually relevant.
I absolutely disagree.
I’ve had a belly full of nonstop marketing everywhere I turn. It’s way past enough!
Unfortunately, you can’t go back to the previous version.
Therefore I’m deleting the entire Accordance mobile app and won’t be updating my desktop or laptop.

Worth it!
Having used this everyday for several years, I highly recommend investing in it. It’s absolutely worth every dollar.
I use it on my iPhone, iPad, and Mac desktop, and all work beautifully.
I enjoy having My Notes synced across all devices, and having everything backed up to my Dropbox account.
I use several Greek texts and numerous English translations, daily. My favorite Greek text is Robinson/Pierpont’s GNT-Byzantine 2005, the NA28 is there too with its apparatus. The CNT Apparatus is amazing for those into textual criticism.
LXX in Greek and English translations are a great resource.
Dan Wallace’s Greek Grammar is easy to use, along with the BDF, and other well known Greek, as well as Hebrew grammars.
Plus, the BDAG Lexicon is priceless. Expensive, yes, but worth it.

The Scholar’s Choice for Bible Research
As a scholar of the Bible, Accordance Bible has been my “go to” program for serious research in the original languages of Greek and Hebrew. The search function is unrivaled by other programs and the ease with which you can highlight and capture notes and have them sync across all of your devices is seamless. Invest in some quality translations and commentaries and some tagged versions of Greek and Hebrew texts and you will not be disappointed. Cross Ref Panel
I am running iOS 12.3.1 on an iPhone 6+ and have been using Accordance for years. The latest version of Accordance cross ref feature will let me select and display a ref verse when I first select a verse that I am studying but when I scroll down to the following verses and try to display a cross ref it will not display the cross ref verse. This makes the latest version of Accordance of limited or no use on my iPhone. I’ve searched your ‘help’ but could find no info addressing this problem. This problem exists whether the lower panel is linked or not linked.
The Problem: The latest version of Accordance requires one to scroll the notes window rather than the text window for the cross ref to work. This needs to be reversed so one scrolls the text window and the linked cross ref window follows and allows display of selected cross ref verses! It’s upside down!!!Show lessJfp14
I love it more than ever!
I love the new update and layout! And with Accordance being non-dependant on an internet connection (unlike Logos which is worthless without an internet connection), I believe this is the most practical and useful Bible study software available. If I had to choose just one Bible study software, it would be Accordance all day everyday…and they keep making it better all the time!Show lessBoland116
