Valuable but glitchy

I really appreciate the ajcโ€™s content and that itโ€™s so readily available. Unfortunately the app is difficult to navigate. There is a significant glitch where the app jumps back up to the top of the list randomly when Iโ€™m scrolling through headlines. I would also rather have headlines from all subsections visible on the home screen instead of having to click into each part of the app to find out if there are new stories.

Easy

I like that I can get a quick overview of the news and read the article when I have time. And I appreciate the notation โ€œOpinionโ€, so that it isnโ€™t confused with news.

Love online daily AJC

I really love making the AJC paper my morning activity. Itโ€™s so nice to keep up with Atlanta and national news especially and to get updates all during the day. It keeps me from having to recycle and go outside to pick up the paper and I enjoy the online experience.

Great For News, Meh For Everything Else

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution has an admirable reputation for its coverage of local events and investigative journalism. Its coverage of the Atlanta arts scene leaves something to be desired. The Atlanta Symphony Orchestra has a national reputation, but the only time it was mentioned in the pages of the Journal-Constitution was when it went on strike.

Review

I enjoy reading the AJC, but do have two complaints. Not enough content. I see the same stories over and over, and I know thereโ€™s a lot going on in Atlanta! The stories they cover are good, but most are about black people. A little diversity would be great!

Love AJC

Love daily podcast update and lead stories. I only wish the e-edition was near top of options on web site. Thanks for the great Greorgia and metro Atlanta stories.

Me. Mary Evelyn gordon

I depend on the Atlanta journal constitution to keep me informed on important issues in Georgia. This has been true for three generations.
I carried an issue of the Atlanta journal to my Father who was working in the field here at our farm. That issue announced that World War II had ended.

Real news from real people

Itโ€™s nice to know I can read news and know itโ€™s news and an opinion piece and know itโ€™s an opinion. You get what you pay for

No search function?

This app is not very useful. Poor layout and a lack of searchability complicate things. Seems like articles or at least section headers are infrequently updated. Finding news on geographic area/neighborhoods more complicated than it should be

Good but needs improving

The app is much better than it was over the past few years but it needs improvements to ease of access. A big step would be making it easier to access different sections. For example I have to scroll quite a bit to get to the sports section, then scroll vertically to pick between different Atlanta teams. I would at least like a button at the top of the Home Screen that displays a vertical list of major sections.

If at all helpful, I believe the best newspaper app is the New York Timesโ€™. Following their lead on UI and UX could be a good strategy to continue building the app.
