Another awful iteration
I only use the app to read the paper, but each iteration of the app makes it more and more difficult. Now to download to read offline, I have to download a pdf file. If I read online it takes forever to get the paper up, the app constantly shuts down unexpectedly or just closes the edition I’m reading and goes to the front page of the most recent edition. It never remembers where I’m at so each time I open the app I have to remember and find my place.
Contacting support does no good. They just bleat out the old, tired call of “restart your device” or “make sure you have the recent update”.
If there was another paper in Atlanta I would drop this one like a rotten squash and move on.

Atlanta area and GA News and top national news in one place
I appreciate the quality of the AJC reporting. It is the best way to stay informed about GA and ATL news. I also love the inspiring and food news stories.
Love the AJC
I just Love the AJC, it’s so beautiful to me to hear the rumble of paper as I read the latest news. I think about my deceased Mother and Father as I read the Newspaper, because that was their daily afternoon wine down time. They would exchange different sections of paper as they discussed the recent daily news, obituaries and sports. Also, I love to read all sections in order, news metro, sports , etc. Just don’t go up on the price anymore!

Excellent NEWS coverage.
AJC keeps me aware of everything happening in the Atlanta Metro area that has an affect on me. I look forward to notifications on my phone or watch.
I Page Down - It Pages Back UP!
I enjoy reading the articles and the information concerning Georgia issues but the app constantly jumps back up to the top as I page down the page. The AJC app has been doing this as long as I can remember and no update has addressed this issue, probably because the developers don’t realize there is an issue. But how can they keep missing this HUGE defect that has been mentioned in so many reviews?
On the positive side, it does seem to get under the skin of the right-wing NUTS.

Written Word
There will always be something special about how a local ‘news paper’ reports local events.
Thanks AJC!

Impossible to read
The latest AJC update is aesthetically pleasing and well organized. However, as you read, the constant refreshes take you back to the top every time. I get so frustrated trying to read all the articles, I shut the app. The app developers asked about my problem. After sharing my experience with them, the problem persists.

Response from developer
Thank you for taking the time to provide a review. We are unable to replicate the experience you are having. Could you please email us at app@ajc.com with some more detail regarding what is occurring along with your device information.
AJC keeps me updated
I really appreciate the app and the ability to stay updated with current events.
AJC deserves a better product
Used to be one of my favorite ways to get ATL/GA news. Now, I’ve become so frustrated with clicking notifications that don’t take me to the story I want to read in the app, scrolling various stories only to have the app bounce back to the top (and lose my place), stories not loading (or plain do not exist), amongst other issues. The app seems to get worse and worse every day, and that’s unfortunate considering there are smaller-market papers with incredibly professional and well-made apps- and that is the future of newspapers.

Worst app I’ve ever tried to use
I recently got this app to keep up with local info surrounding the pandemic. The app is hard to use, it’s impossible to search for a story or topic, and all too often the links don’t take you to the article you click on.
I’m also annoyed at the ‘look’ of the articles — the layouts are more like something I would expect of a fourth-rate rag. Or maybe I’m expecting too much.
