I love the CBC and the CBC news but this app is lousy
I like CBC news. But after two years, I am deleting the app because of ad boobytraps. I understand they need to include ads. I have no problem with that. But a lot of the ads are boobytraps - if you merely touch them while scrolling, you get a pop to a browser window and often then to the App Store. It makes scrolling through a story almost impossible. So this is a fail for the CBC. I guess I’ll go to the website occasionally and also use other news apps. The NYT is the king of them all anyway.Show lessWould be 5 stars but
The iPad Home Screen widget is now blank on the latest iPadOS 17.2.
Otherwise good app.Defund
Can’t wait to see this media farce defunded and put in the ground once and for allCan’t change the font size
Regardless of what the app reports, it doesn’t use the Apple facility to adjust the font size. It’s also in some light grey that makes reading difficult.DO NOT USE CBC!!!!!
THE WORST NEWS YOU CAN POSSIBLY GET!!!! DO NOT USE CBC!!!!!! One sided and biased. There are A NUMBER of other news media sites you can use. CBC SHOULD BE THE LAST ONE ON YOUR LIST. If I could give it 0 stars I would.Biased news
Unfortunately, I to have to agree that CBC news has become very one-sided and is not objective reporting at all. In fact, it’s not even news anymore. Just opinionated stories with a left leaning tone. Go back to actually reporting on news stories that the majority of Canadians want to hear about not the fringe minority stories that you insist on promoting.Show lessAwesome news. Is stuck In infinite loop displaying advertising
Has been two days now. Different ads. Isn’t exiting as display promises. Looks like poor design. Seems going to have to uninstall. Will just go to their website means reading less often. Kitchen cabinet ad isn’t even relevant. I rent an apartment😂Content
You give to most dishonest news in the country. I sincerely hope you lose your funding for the lies you spread for you Sugar Daddy Trudeau.Straight forward news
I like that it doesn’t have sensationalized titles. I also like that I can view local news or view national news. Lastly, I like the coverage of news happening with First Nations communities and with the territories. You don’t hear much about them but it’s important to be aware of the struggles and successes of our fellow Canadians living up north.Show lessBombarded by Too Many Ads!
Love CBC news but can no longer read without being banged by casino ads! AWFUL!!
