  • Can we get mouse and keyboard support

I first tried it on my iPhone, and couldn’t get past lvl 2 because touch controls were to difficult to get use to, i’m sure if I had triad longer I would eventually end up getting used to, but then I read in reddit it had controller support and had a blast playing it, but now that iPadOS has keyboard and mouse/trackpad support for games, so why no add it, so people can have the option to play it as back in the day in macOS, thx and nice work : )

  • Please port this game to consoles and PC!!

Just downloaded this game and played this classic for the first time and the game is pretty good so far and I would really love it if you guys would team up with Bungie to port all three games to the Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Xbox series X, PS4, PS5 and PC. Because this game deserves to be more recognized to a wider range of gamers who played bungie games and other first person shooters. It would even be cooler to see a reboot of the series just like Doom. I would buy all three in a heartbeat if you guys made this happen.

  • I’ve always loved this game!

I’ve always lived this game and have been waiting for it to become available in iOS. That said there are some serious flaws to fix. NO sound! I’m using an iPad. And second, no way to change aiming controls. I would like to be able to aim with the left finger and fire with the right. Or vise versa.
  • Almost Perfect.

Almost everything I want in a phone port, no real stuttering or lag, has controller support, only real issues are the lack of an option for original graphics and turning off the aim returning to the horizon.
  • Thank you for keeping the love going

New weapons models.... who would have thought 30 years ago this classic would still be enjoyed in a hand held device.
  • Plays even better without auto-recenter

Some hidden in-game preferences: Settings app > (Scroll to bottom where apps are listed) > Marathon > Marathon Settings

Settings are: Use classic renderer, always play intro music, auto-recenter, smoother mouselook, invert Y axis, swap joysticks and an option to send anonymous usage data.

I find the game plays so much better when you disable auto-recenter since it makes grenade jumps much easier. Also being able to play with original rendering is awesome.

    Hope this helps.

  • Great Game, But I Have A Question...

Awesome port, gives me so much nostalgia! I have one question, how do you activate the classic graphics mode? I only see text that says “visuals hd” that would even elude to it. Could you elaborate on how to switch it on? Thanks!
  • Cool but...

This is a awesome port of a classic title that my dad tells me all about so when it was on the App Store I instantly bought it however there is one thing that I don’t like. The shoot button is practically the entire screen! It only kind of annoys me and not many other people. But besides that I would recommend it I mean it’s a great port of a classic game a bit hard but rewarding!

    Developer Response

Glad to hear you are enjoying the game! I think what you’re describing is the tap-to-shoot feature (or tap and hold for auto-fire), but any finger swipes on the right side of the screen can be used to aim. There are a lot of ways to customize the controls, so be sure to check out the Preferences and app Settings screens, all of which are explained more in the Help menu.
  • Fantastic to have access to this classic again!

Impractical to play without a controller, but with one available Marathon works a treat.

This 25 y/o FPS runs rings around much of the content available for mobile devices thanks to the enduring quality and depth of the level scenarios and story, and of course to the Aleph One engine.

    Great job by all concerned!
