Love everything except the amount of ads
I love Pinterest so much! It is such a wonderful app that evokes creativity and it is such a positive social media platform. There are many cool features and I love how each person’s feed is now even more reactive to what you click on and view, leading to better recommendations for what should be viewed next. The one problem I have is there is a bucket load of ads! They seemed to have popped up out of nowhere one day and it is almost unbearable. Sometimes I will get so frustrated with the ads that I will stop using the app in that moment. My home feed is probably 40% recommended pins and 60% ads. If you want to swipe to look through pins, you will come across these ads that have a carousel of images within the ad so you have to swipe nearly six times before you can go back to looking at pins. It is really annoying how Pinterest used to be a nice, aesthetic, simple app but now you are bombarded with ads the moment you open the app. It was honestly really disappointing how there is an excessive amount of ads popping up when I just want to scroll through my home feed, but I keep getting ads for brands that don’t even relate to what I am remotely interested in or looking at. Bad bugs
I love Pinterest, since Instagram has begun focussing on their short form video content i’ve seen myself move to Pinterest for classic photo content. However, never have I used such an established application in the world of social media have so many bugs. Unfortunately these bugs often make me close the app and not open it again for a few days, these bugs are so frustrating. Besides some obvious UX issues that make ease of use difficult and annoying, deleting a pin from one of your boards is one of the hardest things to do without encountering a bug, almost every time without fail, attempting to delete a pin results in the app seizing to respond and requiring a restart. Another common bug is on the front page, it’s a similar issue to deleting a pin. Scrolling works just fine but interacting with the posts such as clicking on them is undoable. This really is a shame as the concept of Pinterest is great and I really enjoy using it. Hope to see some fixes soon.Show lessI love whatever app this is!
I forgot something in my last review
More often than not, when I scroll down a from a post now to find similar items, I don’t, instead I find posts similar to another completely different board that I have, or just something I would never save all together. I thought the idea of scrolling down was to find similar pins as it used to be, I guess that’s wrong now??
And one more thing! Why does Pinterest keep deactivating pins! Almost everyday for the last year Iv had Pinterest send an email stating they have deactivated one of my pins for violent or inappropriate behavior. I always submit an appeal and you know why? Most of what I save is art and or photography. I don’t save any nudes or violent acts, so I kept wondering why my pins were getting deactivated so I started trying to use the “one time link” which btw doesn’t show you pin if your on an app on your phone. Either way I would get some idea of what pin was being deactivated and look out for it once it was released again. When I found out MOST OF THE TIME IT WAS A WOMAN SHOWING A FREAKING SHOULDER?! Or a LEG. This is getting out of control! I get that Pinterest wants to keep young children away from inappropriate things, but a woman showing skin is not inappropriate ( I’m a woman btw). I also save items for book fandoms and Iv had so so many of those pins get deactivated, but like why? Bc a guy has his shirt off? Bc a woman is in a bathing suit??? Great idea
I just came up with a great idea, I always wanna look at different things on Pinterest 3 themes in specific; art inspo, fashion inspo and decor.
But I never like to look at them on the same “account” because I want to keep a theme for my feed page. And so I thought why isn’t there a way to have a different category of inspiration? As if there was a completely function feed page where you can search ideas and scroll through new things but also be another page with the same functions so that they’re not all mixed together. Unban me.
Hi, I’m writing this review as a way to get noticed since you guys don’t seem to be responding to my emails. I was banned last month because the pins i saved were against community guidelines. First of all, I didn’t MAKE the pins so why should i get banned because of someone else’s mistake? That’s unfair. And second, I’d never been banned before on that account, you guys just took my account away from me without a warning.. also unfair. I want to be given a chance to fix my mistake and if i get my account back i promise ill go through every single board and delete the pins that i think go against community guidelines. Pinterest played a massive role in my everyday life, id go on it every single day and look and save pins. I had so many pins on there and now its all just gone. I’m so upset because of this. I don’t even want to go onto the app because every pin i saved is gone and i have to start from scratch. I have always loved Pinterest since before I was old enough to have an account. My mom would let me scroll on hers and pin things to my own board. I have now had a Pinterest of my own for probably 5 or 6 years. I love it so so much but lately there are just some weird bugs or something that have been making it really hard to use. Sometimes I’ll be on a pin and then the screen completely freezes and it won’t let me go to the next pin. I have to completely shut out of the app which loses my place of where I was and that’s also extremely frustrating. I know it’s not my phones fault because my mom has the same issue. Another thing is what happened to the story pins? I liked how we could tap through each of the slides and go to the next one or whatever. Now it’s like five different videos in one pin that take forever to load. I love watching tik Toks on Pinterest but lately half of them have said audio not available in this region and that is so annoying. It wasn’t like that before. Why’d it change? Now I’m trying to post my own pins again and they won’t show up in the created section of my profile. I love Pinterest but it’s getting frustratingShow lessAwesome series/book

Imagine your system being THIS bad that I literally have to try and contact you guys through here to re-activate my account that had been suspended with no good reason. I’ve tried, tried, and tried, to gain access to my account for atleast 2 days, trying to repeal “my violations of hateful activity”. WHAT😭 All I’ve had on my account was silly screencaps and memes. Why are my pins STILL up even when you suspect my posts were being hateful? Isn’t that the whole reason for suspending my account? Because of my pins?? Before banning my account, you’ve given me a warning for one of my pins being “inappropriate” but later had reinstated it. Why even bother taking it off in the first place? Not to mention giving ME a warning for pins I saved because they somehow contained things that had gone against your guys’ policies. Why am I being punished for saving them when I’m not the one who created them? If you see a post that supposedly goes against your community guidelines, take action and don’t let it linger. People will assume that the image or video is appropriate for the website, BECAUSE IT WAS POSTED AND ALLOWED. but suddenly, they get warnings because they saved it? I’m sorry, I love this app, but it’s really frustrating when you’re banning innocent accounts when there is actual gross pins that have broken every single one of your guidelines, and they’re scot free. Stop with the violation emails
I love Pinterest so so much but I have absolutely had it with receiving emails that I’ve had pins removed for violating community guidelines. The one off link to view the pin doesn’t even work, just takes me to the home page, so I can’t even see what it is that was removed. I always appeal it and it always gets reinstated.
My previous account with over 20,000 pins was suspended due to this. I am VERY CAREFUL to not pin inappropriate content and none of my boards are related to anything that could be NSFW. It’s absolutely insane that on a new account I am continually receiving these emails about pins I HAVENT EVEN UPLOADED???
This needs to be fixed ASAP. So long as your bots or whatever system you use to scan for inappropriate content is broken, this app is unusable. Not to mention all of the glitches, app crashes, and inability to scroll through a board/Pinterest account without it automatically scrolling up to the top or refreshing. Love it but new update absolute worst.
Pinterest is an amazing app i’ve been using it for awhile now i create boards and such. Its so so creative but the new update is a no. Apparently people under 16 their account is private, you cant even message anyone, no one can follow you or view your board or profile. It’s so ridiculous mostly everyone can be independent by the age of 13 i’d understand the privacy of under 13 but whoa you have to be 16 now. This update shouldnt have existed at all i cant create or message boards with my friends now one of my friend had to create a new account because of this maybe me too. At first i thought this was a glitch maybe it will be fixed but now its meant to stay like this? All my followers disappeared I worked so hard for that! Im sure most people are disappointed about this I honestly think of deactivating this app instead now your update is making me hate this app you know? Pinterest was only fun because i can hangout with other people. I am currently 15 years old I have to wait a year to publish my account no way im waiting that long this may not be a big deal for you but for me it is and maybe for others. I LOVE PINTEREST BUT…
I really love Pinterest and like so many people I am addicted to it. It’s amazing for people who want the feeling of Instagram but a more friendly base or for people who want to save pins revolving around their passions and interests. While this is all good, the recent updates on Pinterest are annoying. I used to love switching to the browse section and scrolling through other peoples posts for ages, and unfortunately that has changed now. I feel like the browse section should be added once again, as it was an easy feature to access and that way more posts were seen for inspiration and creativity.
Secondly, the new policy update is something that bothers me because I can’t scroll through my friends accounts anymore for ideas and pins if they are under 16.
Please Pinterest editors, take your time to look at reviews such as mine and kindly take the feedback to make Pinterest just as amazing as it used to be.Show lesspinterestfan:)
