  • Still love it after all these years!

Benn using PB for decades now. Bought for tracking prep on the road and still use it for that and quiet times. Makes personal study time so much richer with finger tip resources in the moment.

Thanks, all for making it better and better!
  • Just one more Thing!

It would be really nice if you could assign a COLOR to a Category. The way you have to do it now is two operations. You have to hold down on the verse, then choose highlight color, then repeat the process to assign a a category, then start a list somewhere of what color is assigned to what category, a difficult “work around”. I have about a dozen categories, such as Salvation, admonishments, prayers, Romanisms, Pre-destination, etc.
It would be nice to find them and recognize them by both color and category!

  • The Bible App I use as my Bible

I just read a review by someone who has been using this app since the Palm Pilot days. I have, too. This app is my Bible. I have print copies, but I use them infrequently. This is the Bible I use in church and for my daily note-taking. The note-taking ability is superb and, when listening to a sermon or participating in a study, I am able to refer back to notes taken on those same passages in the past. I can even archive my notes as a PDF so someday my daughters may have the same benefit as if I had passed down a well-worn printed Bible. I love this app!

  • My Favorite

I have used PocketBible for years. Before I used it, I tried others, and from time to time, I continue to check other apps out. But this is my favorite. The features are too numerous to list, but here are a few things I like:
-Navigation options both in going to particular books and when reading
    -Different fonts and font sizes
-Colors for highlighting: I like to highlight odd numbered verses in one color and even numbered in another. This app allows one to select verses that are not sequential to color the same color all at once.
-The dictionaries and commentaries are adequate. If I need to go deeper, I can always seek out other sources. But this app includes enough without taking up too much space on my tablet or phone.
I do wish there were a couple of other versions included:
    -Nueva Version Viviente (Spanish)
    -Common English Bible
Overall I love this app and use it almost every day.

  • Bookmark almost perfect

I would give 5 stars if the bookmark section is btter organized. For example it would be nice if for example you can minimize a set of verses. For example if I bookmark John 3:16-19 I see theree verses in the bookmark section. If you have hundreds of verses from top to bottom it is confusing. Better to have it as john 3:16-19 and if you click on the minus bottom it will show the 3 verses. This way you can have on a screen all the summary of verses instead one by one. Hope this feature will be added. Thanks.

  • Awesome beyond belief

Love this app and have used it for a long time. The way in which I find titles are innumerable the only thing I would say is I wish it had a place to build my sermons and Import scriptures that I could then print them out. Other than that I wish every new Bible student would get this app. One final request is to load up more books although It’s already a vast library. Would like to also see an Interlinear Bible both Hebrew and Greek. Thanks for all you do and God bless. Go Study

  • Love it

I love it, it’s my favorite Bible app to use. I love how many colors there are for highlighting and how you can custom label the highlights. The only thing I wish is that I could highlight individual words instead of the whole verse. I know you guys have said that it would be too hard to do that because the highlights aren’t tied to an individual translation so they have to be in a way that allows to highlight for all translations. I may be alone, but I use one main translation and all of my highlights are done in one translation anyways. Could you make it an option to highlight for just one translation so I can highlight individual word? I would even be willing to pay more for this (I already paid to for the extra features like renaming the highlights).

  • So much easier now

I’ve used Pocket Bible since the days of PDAs. Historically, I never really got the way this app used to page ahead by tapping in zones of the screen, so when this app updated to swipe-scroll up/down like all other iPhone apps swipe-scroll, it was fantastic.

The best thing about this app is I have access to the 1984 edition of the NIV, something I bought decades ago now. That specific version is not (easily, anyway) available anywhere else on the Internet.

I really, really appreciate the tech updates that keep this app working with the latest iOS versions. But I also appreciate that it’s not updated so frequently I’m constantly confronted with a new UI. I like the familiarity of this app.

  • New version messed up back button

So like a lot of the new features ... but why did you mess up the back button?? When you choose a link within bible text to another passage, you now can’t go back to the original passage!!!
Cmon man ... this is basic stuff
One of the greatest features for providing context in study is now gone??
    Not good not good
It’s a shame too because it was such a great program ... now just annoying

  • Set up confusing

So I’ve had PocketBible for many years and just last week I was forced to update to the yearly subscription. I’ve always loved having the different tabbed sections and this was the only way to achieve this again. Well I read the instructions and on my iPhone now, I have five huge square blocks that are not tabbed across the top of the page like in the past. And when I select one, I can’t see what’s included. I love the auto study feature and from what I read? There’s no way this feature will work if all of my various readings aren’t selected.

Is there no simple way to fix this? If so? I’ll give it 5 stars again.
