Doesn’t work
Like everyone else says, it simply doesn’t work. When you plug into an iHome device it recognizes and tells you to download the app, but the only thing it shows on the home screen is “Search for Firmware Update.” If you select that it says the firmware is up to date. No other functionality at all. Worthless, and from all the other comments here you can tell the developers don’t care and aren’t doing anything to fix it.Show lessrbdude79
Major problems with app
Well, seeming like this app has been hated for a ehile now, let's make this worse. I have hated this app for a while now, but they just made an update where now my ihome isn't compatible with the latest version. Seriously, STOP UPDATING APPS, I now most likely can't ever use my ihome since next time the clock change comes around it won't change. When I have the guts to, I am going go get something that isn't Ihome, or even apple, since they just keep making older models irrelevant
If the app devs delete this review I'll just make the same one, since I copied it and pasted it onto a doc. Until they make this better i will keep my hate for this appShow lessXiallus
This app and speaker never worked properly.
I have the iw3 speaker and getting it connected has never been easy. But now I’m trying to re sync my new phone and nothing. The app crashes and I’m not certain the speaker even works right in the first place. This is a great company it seems has the mark of excellence. App is useless
I recently purchased an iPhone clock radio and the instructions said to download this app for easy setup. I ended up doing setup manually and the app does nothing but crash. An apology.
If you’re reading this review, it may well be that you’ve already purchased a perfectly useless ihome radio of some sort. It’s daylight savings time and I’ve just tried to connect my iPhone X and my iPad Pro to the ihome radio simply to set the clock ahead an hour. Neither device registers that it is physically connected so the app just sits there and tells me to dock my device to the ihome equipment. Totally. And. Completely. Worthless. Continuous crashing
The app is a neat idea but it’s constantly crashing. Every time I’ve gone to set an alarm through the app it kicks me out. I can’t even try to go through the other functions through the app because of getting kicked off of it.kmckeeman
Continual crashing has killed my speaker
I have a great iHome speaker, which can only be set up with this app. The problem is that this app continually crashes before I can adjust any of the speaker settings. The app launches and immediately crashes. Please update with bug fixes so I can use my speaker!johntmeche3
Absolutely Worthless
This app is extremely outdated and serves no purpose the only things you can do on this app (which is very limited next to nothing) you can just do with the Apple clock app. Not only is this app useless it also crashes constantly I have updated and done everything possible to have this app not crash but it still does. The only reason I got this dumb thing in the first place was to customize my alarm. But no anytime I even touch the alarm setting the app crashes 100% of the time. I have never seen a worse app and hope I never do then this worthless thing. This app doesn't even deserve 1 starShow lessBacon!?!
Crashes! -but I found a fix for older speakers
Trying to connect to older iHome W3 AirPlay speaker via lightning cable always crashes this app. However you can still use a computer to manage the speaker (change its name and set WiFi network to join) I googled a pdf manual online, following instructions on page 10 for ‘setup with a computer’. Broken with 11.2?
This app will no longer connect after the iOS 11.2 update. I just get a message that says the device is not compatible. It has worked until this update, with all of it’s other bugs. At least it will still charge my phone. Guess it is about time to give up on iHome and find a new brand to use.dbhinz
