  • App is not compatible with iOS updates.

Apple updated iOS and now the app doesn't work, which means anything you would want to a charge on an iHome product doesn't see that it is docked and doesn't charge. My iPad 2 and iPhone 8plus haven't been charging overnight since the update. They charge on anything else.
  • At fist It looks good

Initially when I bought the clock radio, it looked and sounded ok, but the display was not to write home about from the getgo. It had failing segments, so you always had to guess the time, or put clean up the phone to tell you the exact time. The app is no better, it runs flaky at best. Not updating the time, alarms going off when they should not. Ihome thinks they can maintain this app without any updates, even when Apple is make no major updates to their OS. Don’t wast your time and money on any iHome products.

  • iHome iDL45 not connecting to my iPhone 7

I am able to charge my iPhone 7 with my iDL45, but I am not able to use this app to connect to it to check the firmware or to control the unit. What is weird is the my iPad mini 4 is able to connect and control it. Makes me think that either the software needs to be updated or possibly the firmware does. I would love to see iHome correct the issue.

  • Works Awesome

Update: I now have the iPhone 7 plus and it did work up until a month or so ago. I have to use the USB port in the back, the top one no longer works. Now the back one won't work. So now I just have a big oversized clock.

I have an iPhone 6 Plus that I use with my radio. I have been using the app for the past few months and it works flawlessly. I'm able to wake to the radio, iPhone or buzzer. I have had no issues.

  • clock is almost better w/o the app

This app could be so much better if it were actually usable as an app - ie not only when attached to the clock.

i shouldn't have to move the clock or myself to be able to set the alarm. I should be able to set it while holding the phone, then dick it and have it apply those settings.

Even if i did have more than one clock, and even if they were the same model, then the app ought to be able to save settings per phone. Either by the app identifying the device automatically, or by letting me name each profile.

As it is, i'm strongly considering returning the clock, since i figure this will get ignored.

  • Still works

This app is simple. It helps you set the clock settings on your iHome brand products. NOTE that the app only appears to do something when you dock it to the clock.

I just replaced the kids' old 30-pin connector iHome clocks with the Lightning connected models (got one for me, too) and we use this app whenever the time changes or the power goes out.

It has other functionalities such as letting you adjust the clock's dimmer, radio volume, etc. (if your clock has those functions), but we only use the time adjustment feature. It claims to check your firmware and update it when necessary, but we have never seen a firmware update with any of our iHome clocks.

  • One of the worst apps in the history of apps

I'd give this zero stars if allowed. Once the phone is docked and the app is opened to try to operate the device it's docked with the app immediately crashes...over and over and over. Deleted, reinstalled, doesn't matter. The app is useless, save your time and move along to something else.
  • Constantly crashes

I don't think the developers even care anymore. I used this app once before an update and it worked then (I bought the ipl24 model December 2016). A month and one update later and this app crashes when changing any detail on the alarm settings. I believe it is because of this that I can no longer wake up to music (big selling point to me)--even if I set that option on the physical device itself!!

  • This update is horrible

I have an older iHome radio - 30 pin dock - which I used with my older iPhones and the app worked great - although a bit limited and inflexible as far as setting multiple alarms. One year later, purchased an iPhone 6 and had to use a lightning cable - whihc worked fine with the app. Fast forward two years, same iPhone 6 running iOS 10 and this recent update. I cannot control any aspect of the clock with the app and the same lightning cable plugged into the back although it appeared the alarm was set correctly and set to wake me up via the radio station preset. With my job my time to go to work can vary and missed being late one day thanks to my wife, the second time I was an hour late. I was able to utilize the controls on the clock but that defeats the whole point of owning this $100+ clock. This needs to be fixed.

  • Not iOS 10.2 compatible, and why the white!!?

The app is not compatible with iOS 10.2, the iHome device does not even set or recognize the iDevice for clock syncing purposes now. Also, please remove the white background in this update. Horrible for nighttime, it's obnoxiously bright now!
