Terrible app, very limited functionality and I would have to say one of the worst banking apps I have come across. Hard to believe that this is what a banking system are providing their customers with in 2024 and still charging their customers the fees that they do.
I would rather go back to high street banking, than deal with this piece of nonsense.

  • App doesn’t work

Every time I try to open the app, I can login but then get a “security update” message that I can’t get rid of. When I try to update, it always comes back with “authentication failed” message that “could be due to a technical issue”. Then once I clear the message, it forces me to update or logout and go through the same thing again. So essentially I haven’t been able to use the app in a year. I am living in Australia and ridiculous that I can’t access my money in Ireland through the app. I don’t understand in this day and age, how AIB are soooo far behind online/app banking when compared to their counterparts in Australia. Even if I could access the app, I still need a card reader which is ridiculous.

  • AIB DREADFUL BANK

All these guys care about is taking your money. This app like it’s online and branch facilities is horrendous. Just looked at reviews feom 4/5 years ago and they describe exactly what I’m experiencing now in 2024 - this bank clearly knows the issues yet does nothing about it, so why would anyone want to bank with these cowboys - like everything else in Ireland .. they want every penny out of you but willing to give zero value in return. I think it’s time pull the cash out.

  • Is this the worst banking app in the world

What’s the point of an app that can never logs you in? You have to have a card reader, physical card, pac codes, another device to verify….. and still you can’t get in. Then if you can get in you can’t do much anyway. Brilliant work AIB! Please have a trip down under the see how it is done. Please!?!

  • Dissatisfied

Have been trying to make a payment all morning with AIB app . A disaster my morning wasted. Have erased and downloaded twice.
  • So bad that I changed bank

I wanted to remove a phone number from the mobile top up list of numbers . Over a. 40 minute phone call I was lied to, told all sorts nonsense about how it was a simple process. The end result was that the way you Remove a mobile number from the payee list of top ups list is that you delete the app . Install it again, reregister for mobile banking and set up Apple Pay again. Sound good to you? Changing bank sounded better to me.

  • Dismal!

This app has never been great, but since two factor authentication came in, it no longer works at all. It demands that I verify/link my phone every time I start it. I have now verified my phone more than 20 times and each time I get into my account for a minute before it claims I need to update my security and verify my phone 🤯

Unfortunately, the app is used to permit access to my account on the computer, so I’m forced to use the card reader (after negotiating the phone verification screens each time).

This really couldn’t be more tedious.

Don’t waste your time on the app.

  • Can you fix the bug for overseas users?

The App won’t let me log in, the app keeps bringing me back to login page after saying device not registered
  • Mail me 2 factor authentication

You mail 2 factor codes you want me to get a home card reader to send 100 euro. I can never sign into the app. You are the biggest joke in banking just pay a real bank to use their software. I am constantly frustrated despite making a single bank transfer per month.
  • Paddy

I can only agree with the other comments from people living in Australia
Looks more like a joke set up than a bank app
If someone did an app like this for me I would ask for my money back
Would advise them to have a look at some Australian bank apps
This app would be a fishing ground for Scammers
    Please improve it ASAP
