Must update app. Authentication failed. Living in Australia. Next time I’m home I’ll be changing banks. Unable to use. Unable to transfer money easily. Painful to use for any real purpose. Absolutely rubbish for overseas usersbro mick
App doesn’t update security. Locked out
App stops me from doing anything to update security. So I go through the process for it to then say authentication failed. And because it now doesn’t work, I can’t pair my phone for my online banking, so I’m locked out of that now as well since they haven’t sent me a card reader.
Extremely poor service having to take days off work because their branches aren’t even open partially on a Saturday. It’s a disgrace. I will be switching banks.Show lessnoncatnondog
Never seems to work
Between constant updates, errors, enhanced security features and PAC letters, I have yet to be able to use the app effectively.
I’ve experience using online banking with two other international banks and have never had an issue in 10 years.
AIB seems to either be overcomplicating things or technically incompetent.
(I won’t get into those stupid card reader calculators they used to (or maybe still) issue).Show lessPlonkssty

Can not use the app unless I have notifications on. I get logged out from my own bank account. Joke of an app.Dimitryqs
Fraudulent Scam Bank
Don't trust this SCAM "bank". They'll take your money and then make it impossible for you to use mobile banking due to scam "security". Not a real bank.wrossmck
Fix the app
I understand the need for security and extra layers to help stop fraud/theft etc. but when it locks you out of your own account and you fill in all the details and text codes for it just to fail anyway is very annoying. The app works when it gets set up but if something goes wrong it goes wrong! Then the whole app is useless until you fix the issueShow lessIanfaherty

Broken app - constantly looping security update
App doesn’t work. Every time I try to launch it, I can log in but then get an inescapable “security update” message that tries to do something but always returns an “authentication failed” message that “could be due to a technical issue” (seriously?). As soon as you clear the message it forces you to try the security update again or logout. Stuck in a never-ending loop. Highly frustrating and been like this for over a year and numerous updates.Show lessSiege1234
