Don’t Bother
Like a lot of Irish I live abroad and trying to use this app has been an absolute waste of time. I’ve called AIB twice to tell them the app won’t work and I’m locked out of my account. They just pass me around to a bunch of confused agents who want me to redownload it and send another code out by post. The issue isn’t the code, it’s the update at the end that won’t install on international phones.

Wish I could give it 0 starts: completely antiquated
AIBs technology is by far the worst I have seen from a bank that operates in 2023.
This app constantly has errors that CS directs you to delete and redownload as a solution. Upon which you need to verify everything again with a plastic CARD READER. I had to have completed their two step verification process dozens of times with countless errors
In order to access your ONLINE banking you need either to download this terrible app or have a plastic card reader. So if you are traveling, you need to remember to carry a pointless piece of plastic just to access your bank, since the app never works. Absolutely ridiculous that I need TWO tools to access my online account (forcing me to have the app or a card reader simply to login and see my balance). If you try to do a bank transfer of more than €1k it fails and you need to call CS for them to “push it though.”
I wanted to close my account and they told me the only way was to main a HAND written letter sent to the bank manager with all my personal data in it. This is the OPPOSITE of caring about someone’s sensitive personal information and should be in legal breach

Embarrassingly Terrible App
I’ve been with AIB since my Dad set me up when I was a tot. Unfortunately I’m seriously considering leaving. A good banking app is imperative in this age and yet this “app” is completely useless. When I log in it tells me it needs a security update and then once it loads for a few seconds it tells me authentication has failed and prevents me from doing anything. It has been so for several months now. If AIB expects to be a reasonable banking choice in the modern age then they need to get their proverbial together and sort this out.Show lessMichael C 1992
Security update is ridiculous
For over a year I can’t access the app properly. Every time I log in it says that I need to update for security and it always comes up as authentication failed. The fact that I need both my phone verification and my card reader to log in is ridiculous. This is by far the worst banking app I’ve ever had to deal with.Show lessburreb90
Rubbish app
This is the worst internet banking app I have ever used. Upgrade my phone each year and have awful issues getting it set up on the new phone. What’s with all the stupid unnecessary security? Crap I think I’m gonna close my account.darrenshine

I create apps and this is the glitchiest app I have used. The ux is full of bugs, scary to think they can’t get this basic flow right.joe198763443
Worst Security Update EVER
Since the introduction of the security update, I cannot login to the app to access my funds. I have followed the process hundreds of times and after about an hour each time trying to access my account, I have to go through the exact same process the next time I use the app. Not happy and it needs to be fixed.Show lessU22S4BZ
Disaster software
Absolutely weak bank and app. I have just received “expired page” two days after I sent the registration code. I am very disappointed with this app.Saeid1811
