  • After update on July 2 app won’t work

I have been using Glooko for years with no problems but it seems after the most recent update the app no longer responds when you push the home, trends, or any other button you want to access. It also crashes and closes the app. This app has helped me get my A1c to 6.0 and I would like to continue to use it when you have a fix.

  • Vast Database of Food.

With this app, I am permitted to properly dose for a seemingly innumerable amount of foods; this permits enriched diabetic care! I would advise every Type One Diabetic to acquire this app for greater diabetic care!
  • Great App!

As a Type 2 diabetic, it’s refreshing being able to use an app that allows me to easily share my reports with my doctor.

My glucose meter easily pairs via Bluetooth and all I have to do is turn it on. This app has also allowed me to log my medications and foods in order for my dietician & doctor know exactly when I’m taking my medicine and what I’m eating! Also not having to pay a subscription is a huge plus!

    Great app!

  • Cannot print report, Error 1011

    App. Support doesn’t read comments.
App isn’t able to generate a report for printing in any format.
  • Glooko

This is a very good app in most respects to keep Diabetes data. However, I would like to see food calorie count in the meal total. Daily totals for Calories, carbs, and protein should also be shown after all food for day has been entered. Recent COMPLAINT is that Reminders do not work for daylight savings time. The notifications come 1 hr too early (spring DST). Reminders should read time from phone time.

  • Longtime Glooko User

    Longtime Glooko user & T1D.
Back in the day when I got my first iPhone, the iPhone 4s I immediately sought out a way to get my glucose data on my phone. This was back when they still sold the analogue cable to plug into the side of your glucometer to sync in readings into your device. I found this super helpful back then to share data with my doctor. Eventually technology caught up and began to have Bluetooth and cloud services so Glooko became a bit of a dinosaur and I stopped using it.

Finally transitioned to pump therapy after almost 30 years MDI via Omnipod + Dexcom.

Glooko is a partner with Omnipod apparently so I finally re-downloaded the app in an effort to track my insulin delivery with the software since the original omnipod system is a bit antiquated and requires usb sync to get data into the cloud for review.

Overall, the app hasn’t changed much amazingly. Slight improvements but plenty of room for growth imho. Also could really use a widget to reference delivery data, that would useful.

Syncing with Dexcom seems buggy. Works off and on, but not always. My app didn’t update for a week with glucose data even though settings confirmed I was actively synced with my Dexcom account.

  • Newly Diagnosis of Type 2 Diabetes

I have been struggling to find the right app to help me accurately monitor blood sugar - count carbs - track exercise practices without costing me a small fortune monthly. I like this App!! It’s user friendly and without effort found how may carbs in a sausage biscuit with the search feature!!!
  • Doesn’t hold data

I’m using the latest iOS version of the app and my phone has the latest iOS for the phone. I’ll put in insulin injection info and the app acts like it stores it. I come back later to the app, and the data is gone! I have no faith in the app storing information and I haven’t even started using a pump. If it cannot store information I enter manually, how can I trust it will store data from a pump?!?!?

  • Great app for staying healthy

I didn’t want to switch to this app because I had 8 months of data on another, but once I started using this app which was suggested by my Endocrinologist I realized that it was far better than the app I was using.

It gives great analysis and the Bluetooth works with my meter as well as many others.

  • Terrible company!!

The app has a feature that adjusts the time on your meter when you upload. When I synced mine after the fall daylight saving time change, it marked my dates as 2021, with a note saying “Glooko has adjusted your meter time.” Clearly, the date is wrong.

I have reached out to Glooko to fix it, and they claim it’s a problem with my meter (it’s not; I’ve gone over the data with the manufacturer). So, now my data is screwed up, Glooko says it can’t be fixed, yet it has a provider portal that doctors (like mine) use to pull blood sugar data for things like insurance claims.

Oh, but it can’t be fixed. Wrong. The FDA would require a way to fix verified incorrect data (I work in medical devices myself). Not only that, but customer service has given me lip service for over a month with the conclusion that “it can’t be fixed.”

Either the app is a piece of junk, or the company is. Either way, I’m investigating new tracking options with my doctor because I don’t like giving business to terrible companies.
