Why I like RTE player
I like RTE player because it’s quick and easy. I can just tap my phone and boom I’m watching Ireland’s fittest familyDJDragon1001
Useless- won’t even open.
Have been trying to get this to work for my elderly Irish father in law. So inconsistent it’s an utter embarrassment. After being advised to delete and re install - it won’t even open now. RTE is an embarrassment and a source of frustration to the millions of Irish diaspora across the globe.!

RTÉ player, thanks for allowing me to connect with Ireland. I like especially politics, history, music and spirituality. I was born in Derry but now live in Scotland. I’m not sure I can access all the history programmes you’ve made though I’d like to.Paddys Moon
Signal Always Dropping / Annoying Ads / Stupid Sound
The app is always dropping for some reason.
Secondly, I find having to watch two ads before it connects with the Programme your trying to watch is very annoying and as a result you might miss what you wanted to watch and you also have a negative approach to the ads, which I think your advertiser might want to know about.
Thirdly, the stupid sound which you have to listen to during the interval is extremely annoying.
In my opinion, the RTE App is not user friendly and could be much better.

The app is great to keep up with what is going on at home. There is one option that is sadly missed. It is currently not possible to do a brief fast forward or backward while watching a previously shown programme. Could you add it please (forward and backward).Sunday Joe
So bad
How can an app have this many faults? It really is a nightmare to use, & really hinders the enjoyment of the shows on offer. The simple act of pausing, can render the app unusable.jl@nj
