Let me sign in pleass

Bro I am just trying to sign in to redeem all my gift cards, and neither the app or website will let me sign in for some reason. Did everything the FAQ troubleshooting answer said and it still says it’s having issues. People all over the Internet have been having this problem with no avail. I am not trying to do all of this for Chick-Fil A. I’ve been given 5 gift cards and it would be way easier to transfer them all to an account rather than keep track of each of their balance. At this rate, it’d be easier to transfer them to a Popeye’s app account or something idk. Maybe not, but then I’d at least have Popeyes. Chick-Fil-A is having some change to the chicken people aren’t crazy about so I don’t know how to feel about having this much credit to their establishments. How do you feel about this? How have you been doing? Side track but I appreciate you taking the time to read this. I don’t like to be this negative. I do enjoy this restaurant and want to use these gift cards to treat myself and my friends. Perhaps the Popeye’s jab was a bit much. I’m sorry. The app seems to have a lot of positive reviews. Whether they are bots or genuine users, this app is positively impacting many people and I would just like to be one of them. Have a wonderful day, and happy holidays.

Privacy Bug

GPS proximity for order to start being prepared is TOO TIGHT!!! I have to literally be in the parking lot for it to say I’m close enough and for the order to start. If someone is picking up, we want the flexibility to have the order start sooner and BE READY for pickup when we get there to walk in and just get it. How do you not understand this?!

Just get rid of the GPS proximity requirement for completing orders for pickup. If I order something and send a friend to go get it, I’m not going to give them my phone to finish the order. I want to set it as done and ready for pickup so they can just grab it when they’re grabbing theirs. Guess your developers didn’t think of that one, did they? Please address this ASAP!!! Latest version has an issue that when you go into Privacy Opt Out, it just takes you to placing an order. Lame!!! TEST YOUR APP PRIOR TO PUSHING UPDATES!!!! Also, you’ve tightened the GPS distance for pickup and now it takes even longer to get stuff at the pickup counter. Let us fully complete the order AS WE’RE DRIVING, so that I can just walk in and get it. It’s super simple… Starbucks does this and it allows users who know how to manage time much better pickup times than your slow workers can do!

Check your card accounts after purchasing

Twice in the last week my mom has placed mobile orders that include redeemed rewards for free items. Both time when placing the order, the free items were reflected in the total in the app when completing the order … even the e-mailed receipt matches. However, after picking up the order the price changed to the regular price, as if no rewards were redeemed, and the full price was charged to her card. She went back to the restaurant twice and spoke to a manager. The first time the manager gave her cards equivalent to the rewards redeemed. The second time, another manager was flat out rude and refused to give a refund … she didn’t even want to give any promo cards when presented with proof of what was in the email receipt vs what was charged. This second manager claimed a refund could not be issued without the food when the food was clearly not the issue here. Please check your receipts and card accounts after purchasing using the mobile app for pickup. Make sure you ask for a receipt when picking up as well. Something is clearly wrong here as this has not happened before after using the app for many years. It makes me wonder if this is happening to other people who are not noticing.

Hate tapping “I’m Here”

I cannot count the number of times I’ve had the app tell me that I “placed an order” only to arrive at the restaurant to find the order has not been placed because I forgot the counter intuitive and asinine need to scroll down several pages to the bottom of the screen and also press the “I’m here button”.

I suppose this is intended to be considerate allowing staff to deliver carry out orders hot but ai hate it. The picky may call me a minority but don’t give a hoot about hot (actually I prefer warm or cool) because I’n here for FAST food. When I’ve placed an order, I expect the food to be ready when I arrived (ideally cool enough that it won’t burn me if I scarf it down and get back on the road). Having an automated maitre d’ feature trying to make sure my food is hot. It’s not only inconsiderate it’s an inconvenience. I love all the other features of this app. This one has been such a persistent nuisance, that next year I do not intend to patronize Chick-fil-A at all. I’m going to find another fast food app with fewer pretensions toward five star service that allows me to order ahead and has the food ready when I arrive without the need to press two buttons to confirm the same thing that should have been implied in the first action of acarry out order button that offers a false confirmation of “order placed”.

Decent app, not thrilled with the rewards.

So when the app started it was great. I felt as though the points to get a reward was relative and you’d get random rewards from stores too. I don’t remember the last time I got a random reward and the points have gone up to earn a reward too. I eat at chick-fil-a fairly often, and even as often as I eat there it takes forever to get to a better rewards status to make it easier to earn rewards. That’s my one complaint, not enough rewards to justify the app taking up space on my phone. 🤷🏼‍♀️ I think companies forget that you only have so much space and it’s a big ask for them to expect you to keep the app on your phone and take up real estate when the app doesn’t make it enticing to keep it on your phone. All I’m saying is that competitors make it worth your while, and we all know Chick-fil-a isn’t hurting for money….so it doesn’t track. Even if it was like some kind of special deal like on Mondays you get a $1 off your meal or something, that would be great. I don’t know, just something to think about.

I just want breakfast

You keep changing the rules on me! Once I phoned in an order for breakfast, it was after 10:30 before I could get to the restaurant, when I walked in they told me they can’t do breakfast after 10:30 and since I hadn’t payed for it before hand , no chicken minis! Today I went thru my mobile app, the restaurant closest to me was closed today (4th of July),so I ordered from the next closest store. Had my order in by 10:10 and paid for it thru pay pal. It’s was after 10:30 before I got to the restaurant! I went in and yes the had an order in my name, but since it was after 10:30 they couldn’t prepare my order! I said that I order before 10:30 and used my pay pal. That’s when I was told I needed to call before 10:30 to let them know I was running late?!
If I could make it before 10:30, I would not need to place an order before 10:30!
When I placed the order for pickup and checked out, I saw a statement saying they would have it ready for pickup. I didn’t see anything about having to call in prior to 10:30 and I didn’t receive an email telling me I had to do this! Not that I would have read it since I was driving on a major highway!

Is it me or did every fast food place get SLOW?

The app tells the location to prepare the food when “you’re closer” and then after its recieved you can wait anywhere from 6-10 min after you arrive. At that point why use the app lol Just order in line. So now you have people hitting the “already at location” in advance because they are not gonna wait when they ordered ahead.

It just shows these companies have tried to adapt with systems to take any order they can but in the process have not developed store systems to handle it. Let alone staff up to accomodate the extra orders. Since having online orders chic fil a dine in and drive through now takes longer. And like most places, when your meals exceed $9-12, you might as well do take out from a real restaraunt. Fast food is no longer a convenience when time constrained, its always a inconvenience. I love Chic Fil A, but im noticing a terrible trend among companies post covid, another time line event that has shifted things for the worse. Every decade it happens.

Employee

As a chick fil a employee, if you are having trouble with payments not going through at the restaurant but on your phone that has to be taken up with your bank. If you are having trouble using your rewards to get something free it has to be ringed up separately to get your rewards. So when you say what you want and you don’t say I want to take off for something that causes us problems because we have to cancel the whole meal and ring your order up separately so you get your item for free.
Also we get signed out of our iPads a lot so when we take your order and you pay and it signs us out we have to ring up your order one more time and you will have to pay again but the first payment will come off of your bank account it will just say pending and it will put the money back please don’t get an attitude with us over something we have no control over.

I hope this help.

App has too many weird glitches

I love the Chick-fil-A app. It’s normally a time saver, but when it glitches, it’s a pain. We’ve been using it since the summer. The first few times it was great. Then strange things would happen. At first, we would place our orders at home & the app would indicate that our order was received & we would get the page with instructions. We get to the restaurant, get the prompt to give our parking spot #. Then, the app would tell us we hadn’t placed an order. We would have to reorder. That was finally corrected, but now I tried to place an order at my preferred restaurant as I was leaving work. I checked the address before placing my order & have never ordered from another location on the app. I checked the address once as I submitted my order, then again upon arrival. The correct address was listed, but when I tried to submit my spot #, the app tried to claim that I placed my order with another restaurant. I was asked if I wanted to change my order to the location I was at. I tried to do that twice, but I kept getting a message that I was submitting my order elsewhere. I had to cancel my order & reorder in the parking lot. There have been other glitches with payments, too. I love Chick-fil-A, but the app needs work.

Doesn’t know where you are

Ever since they added the new “we’ll start preparing your food when you get close” feature (which doesn’t even work by the way), the app can’t tell when you’re at the restaurant. The past 8 times I’ve ordered on the app it’s shown me right on top of the restaurant on the little map but when I click “I’m already here” it always acts like I’m not here, like it says “are you sure? It doesn’t look like you’re here yet.” When I’m literally right on top of the restaurant on the mini map. Chick-fil-A is the only order ahead app that doesn’t let you designate a time and it doesn’t get your food ready when you get close. So in short, ordering in the app is useless because it’s usually slower than going in the restaurant or drive through. If you want points I guess the app is great, but their whole order ahead system is leaps and bounds behind everyone else’s, so don’t expect much in that department. I’m sitting here typing this while I wait 15 minutes for my curbside order because the app can’t get my food prepared any sooner apparently. Fix your app Chick-fil-A.
