  • This app is one of the worst app I've ever used !

The app seemed promising at first however this app is a scam used for data gathering and cross platform sharing selling your personal data to marketing company’s they are violating your privacy rights and track your location with promises that it’s to match you up with people you cross paths with which is a lie and could not be further from the truth ! They're system for banning users is bias and one sided ! They're messages fail in delivery and app prone to constant crashing when you hide or ban users they are still able to access your profile and harass you or have you banned based on you rejecting them stay away from this app unless you want to completely waste your time money and emotional energy after investing your self to find a match then getting banned for some low life who can't take NO for an answer !

    Developer Response

Hello Sizz3rb, I think there was a misunderstanding. This app is not a scam, and crossing data is collected for the sole purpose of gathering our users. We take privacy very seriously and do not sell personal data to anyone. If you wish to have more information on the matter, I suggest you read our Privacy policy which explains in detail everything I've just mentioned. See you soon on happn! Bruno from happn
  • banned immediately after making profile

Sooo..didn’t even get to actually see what this app can do. Can’t exactly blame it. I’m assuming it banned me for using the word “sex” in my bio. (I was referencing a line from Brooklyn99 - big mistake) but to be banned so quickly for just using the word and not bothering to at least review my account first like other sites do when I report someone who clearly does need to be banned, it’s pretty annoying. What if someone uses the word “sexuality” or “sex orientation”? Is the app going to automatically banned them as well without even looking at the context?

  • Not a good update

As a few others have remarked, it’s a great idea of an app, just come back on after a month away to find the update has taken away the choice to be able to scroll through the people you have passed, and now you have to decide straight away to either like or discard !? Why !? I like many others don’t want to have to make that decision there and then, we want time to think and comeback to them if we wish, you can’t just make that choice in a click of a finger.....please developers, let us know why you have made this decision, and then please revert back so we can scroll through. If this can come back I will certainly sign up for the premium and give it a proper go.

  • Fixing for worse👍🏻🤦‍♂️

On very beginning app was nice and smooth with each “update” just getting worse, since last one which was two weeks ago all I see on main screen is....... actually nothing except blue screen and logo app just keeps search “people I cross path with” doesn’t matter for how long u would wait an hour, two or even probably whole day stearin,on to that searching thing do not show single person you’ve passed with. Or maybe just I became invisible for others.... don’t know nothing bout that,. Anyways, huge granulation to developers for destroying something nice, and turn in to some useless trash which do not doing nothing in your phone but takes memory space and drain battery as location service seems to work with out issues. Really guys,is that what you want to achieve? I giving up this one, blue screen stopped being fun....... Again, bravo for you 👏🏻 developers you guys are really smart and wise with your “updates”👍🏻

  • Downhill

It started well but lost its way and now has a redesign which has made it just like all the others the beauty of it was that you could see if you’d crossed paths with people. The problem was people stopped talking and just play it like a game. The redesign makes it more like that. No one has time to sit and swipe everyone they’ve crossed paths with that day especially in a city. Happn should have worked on something that refreshes users who have connected or that are still looking. 10 free charms a month would also help as no one wants to pay for charms. I’m sure there will come another app that gets it right. But for now hinge is better than happn, tinder has more users with loads of fake profiles and bumble has lost momentum as has Happn.

  • Poor functionality

Pretty weak app in my opinion. If you’ve liked someone they show up again in your feed. Then what? And why do they show up in your feed?
  • Not Safe for Women!! What were the developers thinking?!???

So last night, a guy said, “I’m 800ft away from you”. I looked at his profile, and I didn’t see distance, just number of times we passed. He said, I can see you but you can’t see my location because I pay for premium.

Upon more research, users can only turn this location feature off by paying extra money for premium features.

This is targeting women’s safety, it’s only a matter of time before someone gets hurt! Not to mention women are statistically underpaid and less likely to afford premium features. It’s only a matter of time before someone gets hurt! I liked the idea of meeting people I cross every day, but I’m not going to use an app that requires me to pay more for basic safety features. I DONT recommend this app for women!!!

  • Works ok but latest updates are annoying

When I first started using Happn the app was really user friendly but many of the updates have made it less so. The ‘crush time’ game is ridiculous because if you guess right it automatically tells the other person you like them too when you might not. Also the new timeline feature MAKES you choose whether to like or not before you can move on to see who else you’ve crossed paths with. If I’d wanted a ‘tinder’ type experience of a one time shot of looking at someone I’d have chosen that app instead. I like to take a little time to look and read about who I’ve crossed paths with before making a decision, also the number of times we’ve crossed paths has a bearing on that too. Please reinstate the timeline layout of a couple of days ago when I could scroll up and down without selecting a heart or an x!

  • Expensive app with no customer service

I downloaded this app and tried to use it, but many features can’t be used without subscription. When I contacted the developers I was told I could purchase credits from within the app, but nowhere in the app was there anywhere I could. The only option was to subscribe. When I contacted the developers a second time, I got a copy and paste of their first response. They didn’t respond to my question. Looks like you only get customer service and the free/ 1 credit features if you subscribe. Good luck.

  • Issues

This app has an over abundance of pedophiles and it also highly complicated when it comes to figuring where or how to cancel a subscription once a user can no longer afford it. Now I have an annoying and unnecessary expired subscription from this app that keeps me from downloading other apps. Even free apps can no longer be downloaded due to having a hard time canceling the subscription and deleting my account. I have an expired bill with no current payment method to pay for it which is why the Apple store is keeping me from downloading apps until I get a job again to pay off the debt. It is much easier to only log out of the app and that is just plain irritating. Not only is this app disturbingly horrible when it comes to safety, due to the fact that when I using this app I received a lot of 50 year olds attention with me only being 18, but it also shouldn’t have such a pricy subscription that is difficult to cancel.
