    This is the slowest functioning app I have. I’m no longer able to use zelle to receive money because for some reason it’s button was removed. They updated the layout of the app and somehow made it even less organized than before. The original layout was better. Make sure to save your login because if you don’t, it’ll take 2 years just to load the login screen. Mind you, I have a fine connection to my wifi so it’s not a problem on my end. The app is so bad I’m considering switching to a different bank. It shouldn’t be this hard just to check my balance.

  • Terrible

    Hate this new app, previously when I would make a purchase I would be standing at the credit card machine/kiosk and get notified of my purchase. Now I get notified 1-3 days after my transaction.
    I’ve already experienced fraudulent charges a few months ago, if you can’t fix the immediate notifications I’m leaving this bank, I’ve been with Independent bank for 20+ weeks years.
    This is not ok with the technology that’s available and especially that it worked great before this new app and website.
    I wouldn’t even give it one star but that isn’t an option.

  • This app is so slow

    App is so slow it takes me 10 minutes to do 1 thing it would be faster just to go to the bank
  • The worst app I have on my phone

    Again if I could give this app zero stars I definitely would. This app never works. It only shows me blank screens. Making it hard for me to transfer money and check my account. I really wish that I could go back to the old app. Cause this one is terrible. When I call customer service it’s nothing that they can do about it. PLEASE go back to the old back or give us a better app that actually works.

  • Horrendous App

    I’ve been an Independent customer since 18. I love the bank through and through. However, this app continues to be a disaster. I’m locked out of it once a week and I use Face ID so I don’t even know how it’s possible that happens. I’m not using incorrect Login or PW. When the app does work (50/50) it’s slow and unresponsive a majority of the time. I don’t even use the app I use Safari at this point. Super irritated with the rollout of this app.

  • Wonky and won’t let me log in

    This app was pretty decent overall until the beginning of July. It will not let me log in. Tech support at the bank wanted version history, type of phone, numbers from my series and phone information. That was after they could not help solve my log in problems. The message errors switch from connection error to call the toll free bank tech support. No problems before July. Now 3 weeks in I can only log I to the bank site from a web browser. App is worthless to me currently.

  • Updates needed

    When transferring money from one account to another - the accounts should show actual balance of the account mi why is moved from and not the balance of accounts combined.

    It would be nice to see future scheduled transactions for the next 30 days for simple cash flow planning as we used to on desk top version.

  • Not up to expectations

    This app and total redesign of the customer side interface, isn’t ready for implementation. There are way too many errors, time outs and general crashes. The team in charge of debugging was obviously rushed to push out a product.
    As of now, this app is useless and I cannot see a way forward unless a total rebuild is executed.
    I will give a limited amount of time before I close my accounts and go to a financial institution that I can manage from mobile.

  • Internal transfers fail

    Every immediate internal transfer that I have attempted to make between my checking account and loan account has failed. Also my new recurring scheduled transfer from my independent bank checking account to my independent bank loan account also failed. The only transfer that has worked is when independent bank is pulling money from an external account into my independent bank checking account.
    Finally, after attempting to make a transfer through the listed phone number-which also didn’t work- and finally got a representative on the phone they stated that they could not help me stating that they were with the online banking and that I would need to be transferred to customer service.
    Independent Bank is not winning any points with me today!

  • Would give 0 if possible.

    What a horribly designed and executed app. To transfer money between accounts now takes multiple tries and closing the app several times. Countless white screens forcing me to close the app and try again just to press facial recognition and wait for the app to buffer and load for 10 minutes. And that’s if it even works! Don’t know how many times I received the massage that an “unknown error has occurred please try again later”. I’ve only used this app successfully maybe 7 times. It’s difficult to pay your bills when the app is constantly down and you cannot see how much money is in which account so you have to either drive to a location to physically put your card in the ATM and get a receipt or call independent banks telephone number. Please for the love of Christ, fix this app. The old one was much better.
