Great rates and an easy to use interface. What used to take me a visit to my high street bank now takes a couple of minutes at home or anywhere . Recommend!
Very poor customer service - Not recommended at all
I have many other platforms but never came across this kind of poor customer service. They took around 10 says to just verify the account after following up everyday.

OFX has given me very good service over a lot of years I recommend it to all who are wanting a sure and safe transfer
Online tracking is not true
OFX using intermediary banks for international transactions and telling you funds are paid once the intermediary bank received funds, if there is an issue in the national transfer OFX will consider funds paid and will not inform you. If you have an issue with any transactions there is no way to escalate or get any extra support and it will take forever to be resolved, 3 weeks already and my funds still lost.

Quick and easy
I have been using OFX for years now and it has been always quick and easy way to transfer and pay money overseas.
Terrible Service
Not recommended if you need to perform a quick transfer of large sums.
It is understood that there is a need to perform compliance review. However, the way they do it is in piecemeal basis - they send you an email asking for ID information in Day One, the next day, another set of information requested, and then on the third day another. It would have been helpful and less frustrating if they asked for all the info they need on Day One. Not helpful when you need the transfers quick!! I would not have used them had it not because of them being referred to by Macquarie Bank for overseas fund transfer. I highly recommend using other banks like Commbank or even HSBC Australia that supports direct global transfer. Would have given them only 1 star if not for the helpful customer support team, which was failed by their non-customer facing backend teams!

Doesn’t do what it says on the tin
I’ve downloaded the app.
Their website says I can set a target rate on the app and get an alert. Well if it’s there, then they’ve hidden it quite well.
Then I go to the website. That does allow me to set a target rate and get an alert. Except it doesn’t. I put in the two currencies and hit create. I get a nice message that says ‘Oops. Something went wrong’.
I report it and get told to clear the cache. So I do that. Guess what? ‘Oops. Something went wrong’.
Sorry guys. Useless. And I don’t mean me.

This company is a disorganized nightmare
I’ve been trying to verify my account with this company for months. I sent them a year of bank statements to verify funds. They never replied. Then when I called them they wanted me to send more because the month had rolled over. I provide them again. Then they ask me for proof of the source of the funds. Why did they not ask me for this in the previous 6 phone calls I’ve had with them. I talk to reps who tell me everything is fine and they’ll get back to me later in the day. Nothing. It is always something and they just can’t get it together. Now they say I don’t have the funds in my account to move over the amount I said I would move over 8 months ago. I’ve been using other apps to transfer smaller sums over because this company is such a mess. Go with anyone else if you can. This company just wastes your time and doesn’t care. Just the absolute worst.

OFX is seamless
I have been happy with the services provided by OFX over the last few year. It provides a simple, reliable and predictable service at no charge that would cost a lot more via the normal banking service. The Customer Service at OFX is also responsive in providing answers to any inquiries I may have in a timely manner. I am very thankful that the OFX app is available.
