Don’t Recommend - Horrible CS experience
Transferring from Canada. Transfer took ages. Customer Service, not helpful and not even responding to emails. You have to call them to get ZERO help. If are outside EU, do yourself a favor save your time and your money and don't use these mediocre players.

I rarely write reviews on businesses, but I have to say OFX is pure quality. Trust worthy, fast, and reliable. Their app and website are great as well. Customer service is actually helpful, and polite, and they know what they are doing. Well done OFX. Five stars!
A 5 STAR APP, now BROKEN
I have an account with OFX. I need daily access to current market rates innorder to decide whether to book mu frequent FX transactions. A few weeks ago (September 2022), with the introduction of iOS 15.7 ans iOS 16, the APP NO LONGER DISPLAY THE INITIAL RATES PAGE !!! The initial rates page is CRUCIAL to using the APP and knowing when to book. Though the account transactions still seem functional, and are hopefully secure, not seeing current market rates is a MAJOR HANDICAP. Yes, one can get rates elsewhere. But the point is to get rates exactly when one is considering a transaction. And acting quickly within the APP if a rate is favourable. I assume that OFX is aware. But the "broken / blank" rates page issue has continued for some weeks. PLEASE FIX ASAP !!!!!

Thanks for your feedback. We were facing intermittent issues with our backend systems yesterday. The issues have been resolved - so you should be able to view rates and login in the app.
Took more than a dozen emails and 2 months to return my money
Sent the money and days later they told me it could not be sent to my recipient. Fine, just return to me, easy right? Nah nah nah… compliance team, tech support, documents, more than a dozen emails… was told they’d reply next week many times, and two weeks’ passed, nothing. In the end I was fed up and called, and was told that the money would be sent out to me today. I’m very doubtful. I’m not talking about 1 million dollars, it’s $250, and I won’t be using their service ever again.

I have used OFX many times and I have found it easy to setup and send funds. The transfers have gone through smoothly and the notifications keep me apprised of the status.

Hidden fees
There is an extra fee for transferring money and they don’t have a clue how much it is
Here is a copy from their customer service stating that
OFX sends the exact amount of currency as per your transaction. However, depending on what route the payment takes and the relationship between the correspondent banks, an intermediary bank may deduct a fee from the payment amount prior to forwarding funds to the beneficiary.
This fee can vary in amount and we cannot predict whether it will occur, or it if does, what amount will be deducted.
It is important to note that OFX do not take the fee and the fee could be deducted with any foreign exchange provider or bank that you use.
We cannot guarantee the fee will not be charged and we do not reimburse you if a fee from another institution is charged.

I am retired from the USA and live in Mexico City. My pension is deposited in dollars in the US. Nerd Wallet recommended this app and so far their part of the deal works well. If I bridge a weekend or use an unfamiliar bank, it delays the deposit but it can all be planned. It’s free, reliable and gives a fair exchange rate.
