I bought all 3 after the first came out. It was cutting edge. Had all 3 on my iPad for years. Just went to read again and can’t restore purchases. I won’t pay again for something I already bought. It’s a shame reallyBjouuh
Can't restore stories
I am among those other reviewers that have been cheated out of the stories they bought years ago when trying to restore the app. Until they fix the issue, I'm keeping the review at 1-star.TioMac

Pay again?
I purchased volume 1 years ago. I wanted to read the stories again so I downloaded the app. All the stories are locked and it won't restore purchases. I am not going to pay again. It was a 5 star app before.Youngzombie
In-app purchases ruin experience
This is a very well done app, but demanding an in-app purchase to acquire the latter half of a story that is almost 200 years old (and easily available from anywhere on the web) is plain silly. Deleted.iTuned. iListened. iWrote.

As a long time lover of Poe, I must admit I did not think an app of all things would do his work justice. Could not have been more wrong. A beautiful deep dive into Poe's works.
I have purchsed all the apps as they have been released and introduced my kids to this wonderfully realised immersive Gothic Literature experience.

I had every suspicion as to the quality of this app. It seems literature is considered an easy mark for developers. However, the experience of Poe in this new medium is brilliant, well conceived and frankly terrifying. Lights out, headphones in and braced for volume two.KitVTempest
Amazingly beautiful
I cannot even begin to describe how beautiful this is. The animations don't interfere with the story, but add to it immensely. The background music was perfectly matched to each part of the stories. I heartily recommend this to anyone who loves his stories already, or to anyone who has been meaning to read the stories for a while but hasn't got around to it.
Also: I spotted David Bowie in the background of one story. Keep your eyes peeled! ;)Show lessbrantj
