cancelled my business account without informing me. The app is terrible and is based on AI. It is so difficult to speak to a human being so you get no actual answer to an issue that you might have that can’t be resolved on an FAQ. I was told I would need to have a business account that had the exact same name if I was going to get my money out which I did not have, I got no reply from any email sent to customer service on boarding anything like that at all, when I phoned customer service, I was told they would raise a ticket with the relevant people, but I never received an email again. I’m currently waiting for the ombudsman to attempt to get my money back. They made it so easy to sign up but it’s so difficult to get your money. In conclusion avoid avoid avoid there are much better options.

AVOID AT ALL COST
My experience with this company has been extremely disappointing. It seems like they have no real business support—just a few representatives, possibly offshore, providing unhelpful and misleading information. They made false promises without the authority to deliver, wasting valuable time and resources. Despite all this, they have yet to return the client’s money. Unfortunately, I wouldn’t be surprised if they go out of business soon, as their practices are far from professional. Using this payment platform has negatively impacted my business in the worst way imaginable. Don’t even bother replying to this review, this is for the people like myself to read and understand Before signing up to their doom!

Garbage App, withholds payments for days
Annoyed I wasted my time with this app. Wanted to sign up for their business account to make transactions seamless. What do you know, they make it impossible to do so! The option isn’t available, yet it was presented as being an option. Otherwise I wouldn’t have bothered with this. A payment from a customer of mine has of course been accepted, yet no payout is available to me after several business days. Furthermore, I’m not even able to refund the customer in the app (just to add to the list of features being withheld for no reason) Long story short, what a great way to attract and impress a new customer! (I’m being sarcastic)

Joke of a company
I’m trying to run a business and every time you run a credit card for over $5000 they flag you they shut you down and they’re like oh we need you to fill out this paperwork. I’m in the field trying to run a business for myself and they’re not allowing me to run the credit cards for people what a joke of a company and then you call and because the phone number registered is not the phone number I’m calling from because it’s my work phone number and I’m on my cell number they won’t help me after you sit on cold for 30 minutesjoke of a company don’t ever use them

Weird Bank
Worst “Financial institutions” on the face of the Earth. I was scammed a while ago for some B30s therefore I had raised a charge back claim, it took them almost a month to respond and once they finally responded (after i sent over 10 emails), they suspended my account. At first they said it was because I needed provide the “nature of my business”, which I did without hesitation. Once i sent them what they’ve asked for they didn’t respond for a whole 2 days so i contacted the support team, they told me they’d make it matter of urgency and i’ll get a réponse at the end of the day. Surprise surprise, they didn’t respond, so i contacted the support team again, only then to find out my account was suspended because of the claim I made. So I get scammed, I raise a charge back claim, then they suspend my account 🤣. This bank makes absolutely no sense it’s like if i hadn’t of applied pressure i wouldn’t have found out why my account was suspended in the first place. They’re a joke, don’t waste your time with these lot.

I would like to report a few issues and suggest improvements for the SumUp device:
1. Sales Reporting:
• Please add the total sales of the day in the sales column of the report (e.g., total 38 transactions).
2. Bluetooth Connection:
• The connection between the device and Bluetooth is slower compared to other platforms. A faster connection would greatly improve efficiency.
3. Receipt Printing:
• Simplify the print receipt process and make the receipts shorter to save paper. We are required to print receipts for every card payment, but recently the receipts have become much longer with customer copies and other unnecessary details. Shorter, simpler receipts would be beneficial.
4. Bluetooth Printing Errors:
• There are frequent printing errors when connecting via Bluetooth to my Star TSP100III printer. This needs to be addressed for smoother operation.
5. WiFi/Network Printing:
• It would be very helpful if the device could print receipts via WiFi or through a built-in network connection. Currently, the WiFi feature only supports SumUp’s own printer, but it would be great if I could print with my existing printer, the Star TSP100III.

This is a terrible card service/hardware
I sell merchandise for a band and this is the worse card reader I’ve ever used. The SumUp Lite card reader disconnects between every single transaction, and I have to reconnect it to my phone or tablet to process orders every time. Each transaction with a customer using a card takes me at least five minutes of disconnecting and reconnecting my Bluetooth. Tonight, I updated the firmware on the reader and now it won’t even connect to my devices. On top of it all, they charge outrageous percentages on each transaction. I’m only using this service because I have no other choice.

Really not a fan…
I was very excited to partner with SumUp in the beginning. But that quickly faded. It is almost impossible to get a hold of support. Chat is NEVER available. No phone number listed on the app and when you call the number from google, no-one answers. I have had money waiting to transfer out for weeks and can’t get it out. And their rates are 3.25% plus .15 cents. Too high as well. Just really unhappy with SumUp.

I run a business that’s been operating for 9.5 years. I provided all the info asked in a follow up email from onboarding and then 4 days later apparently I’m not a legitimate business for sumup. Did you even bother to check what you asked for? Didn’t look at fb and inst profiles with years and years of posts spruiking what we sell and where we are selling it?
There’s heaps of other options as an alternative to square and this one should be avoided due to the poor customer service, onboarding and the staggering lack of reading comprehension from sumup staff who emailed me.

Huge app updates and Aussie Onboarding
Installed the app and was about to get setup as a sole trader in about 15-20mins and was able to transact using Tap on phone. I ordered an air reader and our clients love the screen and the info shown rather then being all on my phone.
