  • Worst banking app I have used in a while

    I wonder if Hdfc eng team made an intern write this app.
    Here are a few frustrating user journeys if someone reads these comments
    Login : App doesn't support face id login nor it lets us paste password in the password box. So the people who keep their strong passwords in a safe vault have to manually enter them each time.
    Setting up a quick access pin each ends in error without fail.
    Want to modify an existing recurring transfer ?? Nope you can't do that
    Can I add a new beneficiary? Nope
    Can I modify an existing beneficiary ? Nope
    Ads everywhere, why the hell do you need ads on your Banking app, aren't you already making money from us, we are literally keeping money in your accounts to be invested by you on much higher returns.

  • App shows Device is Jail Broken

    I have been using this app for so many years now on my iPhone. Currently I am using iPhone XS with iOS 13.6.1. But ever since I have upgraded to iOS 13, I am getting following error - “Fatal error. For your own safety we don’t allow JailBroken devices to use this application”. REALLY????
    For the matter of fact, I have never jail broken this device and I never will. This is my primary device. Why would I play with this $1000 device. I don’t have cider or any other app installed on my device. I did contact to Apple support and here is their response “ But there is no issue with the phone if you are able to open the app, delete, and redownload the app is giving you the error. Apple does not own this app therefore Apple can’t troubleshoot it’s in-app issues.”

  • Login issue with false message regarding connectivity issue

    The app complains about connectivty issue thereby not allowing login even when the connectivity is pretty good.
    Message says - You seem to be in a low network area. Please try again later.
    I am using one of the best network provider in US and hence this error doesn’t make any sense specially when all the other apps are working without any issue.

  • Pethetic applications, don’t know how many are there

    The worst mobile banking app so far.
    They have multiple entries in appstore just to confuse customers. One which opens up but lacks operation and soon to be closed another which is supposed to replace the previous but is impossible to login or do anything, third is the lite which is good for nothing. And don’t even let me start on customer support which sets you on hold for more then two hours.

  • Disgrace to HDFC bank

    Never see such a cheap quality app by any one and never see any one taking this much time to fix the issue after repeated complaints on the app with same issue .

    The idiots keep asking every body to post the screen shot despite people telling we are timing out and can’t even login .

    Running out of patience and need to setup bill payments and money management with other bank accounts . Till now HDFC is my primary account but looks like we can’t continue with such cheap tech support .

  • Disgrace to HDFC bank

    The new hdfc banking app looks like it’s developed by a 10 year old school child. It’s the worst development that your team would have made.
    What’s even worse is that the previous app was far superior but you decided to discontinue that one and force your loyal customers to use this crap. Why change what is already good like the other HDFC banking app?

    I’m probably going to close all my accounts with HDFC and switch banks because of this experience.

    Get your team to enable the other app and discontinue this rubbish that you are forcing your customers to use. Even A basic feature like Face ID doesn’t work after registration.

  • Each Time Move to new App results Disaster

    I am writing this review in great pain being loyal customer to HDFC for almost 10 years. I usually use mobile app for my banking needs and legacy HDFC mobile app works perfectly for all my needs. Few years back HDFC tried to force users to switch to newly designed app version which is total disaster and after leaving with no option they reverted back to legacy mobile app. Now again last week they forced users again to switch to new design app which is much better than before but no where near to legacy app in terms of stability. Today when I am in one of the best US network and tried to login, I receive prompt saying “ You seem to be in a low network area. Please try again after some time.”

    Update(03-Jul-2020): Now app is working fine, so updating my review and rating.

  • App crashing and not even opening

    The app is not even opening up. It is crashing. The ios is 13.5

    Not even able to open the app is poor service from hdfc. I cannot do mobile banking because of poor application. This bring the issue of security and trust, with this app not even booting up. This kind of issue is not expected out of the banking application that is so crucial to have simple boot up functionality not working.

  • Unsatisfactory App upgrade new app downloads

    I have noticed that every time HDFC goes for the mobile app upgrade, it asks us to install a new App. Why the same app cannot be upgraded, unlike other state of the art banks. Also some versions has quick access pin, upgraded version sometimes doesn’t have quick access pin enabled or touch id enabled. Problem is according to me, Investment in IT infrastructure. Pathetic.. don’t know who passes these as part of QC

  • It is an App to check just account balances

    Nothing worked fine in this App other than to know my account balance and I was stuck in every transaction I tried . I didn’t get any text messages after I started using this App including the credits to my account. But I got text messages for all the transactions that I did in netbanking using my Laptop. I didn’t get any texts which also implies I didn’t get OTPs, Thus I have reach out to my laptop wherever an OTP is needed, which is any transaction other than checking balances I had to use my laptop. I really don’t understand why all of sudden you have make us use a new app and we just have to be stuck with it ??
