  • Worst banking app I’ve ever come across

    Okay. I did not how bad banking apps could get until I had to use this app. It seems like they’ve got a team of one guy working on it, and that too as a side project. Now for the issues:

    1. No bio auth login: Seriously, there is no Touch/FaceId login feature. In 2020. When even the cheapest smartphones have at least a fingerprint sensor. WTH.

    2. Pop-up ads: Can you cool it with the the pop up ads? Why do you need to serve stupid ads when we already have an account with you? There is no other banking app that does, and neither should you. It is extremely bad practice.

    3. Timing out issues: There are multiple outages with the app while transferring, with no good reason whatsoever. This is rather unexpected.

    All in all, for a firm as a large as HDFC, it is a pity that this dumpster fire of an app is all they could come up with.

  • Face ID option is not available

    The app is not user friendly and there is no option to add a Face ID. In market every bank provides the Face ID. But you people are not upgrading as per the market and customers requirements.

    I have read most of the reviews and I see the reply asking to send any email. Seriously, then what is the use of writing the review?. Better ask your team to read this or add a notification to your app when someone writes review.

  • Bad mobile app

    First of all the app login is no good. They have a fingerprint system which is broke. Secondly the home screen is blank and doesn’t display balances. Thirdly all features in netbanking are either not available or hidden and difficult to navigate to. And finally that nasty piece of music and redirection to hdfc website. Who asked for this feature. When I open this app at night it makes this nasty high volume music waking up everybody. Can the devs fix it? I m a longtime customer of hdfc and feel the older app was far far better than the current one

  • The worst becomes even worse

    For those wondering how it is possible, to them I say please download the HDFC bank app.

    Response to developer after asking me to elaborate.

    1) The primary screen after login is blank, every time.
    2) Menu choice by default is “Imperia” which shows a blank screen. When I login to my account through my mobile, I want to get work done. A blank screen and getting into the menu to reach functions does not make an app useful.
    3) A web page pops up on logging out with an audio tune. Totally unnecessary.
    4) This hasn’t happened every time, but often there are advertisements that slide up from the bottom of the screen taking up screen space and launches a web page when trying to close the space wasting pop up

    I am surprised your app testers haven’t given you this feedback.

    You people already have my money, don’t try to find more ways to have me give you my money through pop up ads.

    If I need something from the bank, I most likely will talk to a person, rather than waste time looking for an advert popping up when I am getting work done.

  • Fatal error - doesn’t work on jailbroken devices

    I have been using it for last 3 years successfully but since last update this app keeps giving error of fatal error and not able to use this on jailbroken device.
    I have been using it on same device for over 3 years but last 1 month no action. I hope developers are listening and working on fixing the issue.

  • Crashed and Very disappointing experience

    My 1st impression towards this New app is very bad. Did not expected to crash while in transfer process.

    Was not aware that, I had an old app. Have used this numerous times and happy with it as there was no issues for my usage. But suddenly got a message from HDFC to update to new App. So from App Store downloaded this New app and tried to transfer money for some urgent purpose. And unexpectedly it crashed, left me out not to log-in immediately.

  • App’s labels needs improvement with Usability tests

    For a start, instead of ‘Set PIN’ on Debit Cards call it ‘Request PIN’ cause that is exactly what happens (a request is submitted for PIN to be mailed to home address) when someone forgets/loses their PIN and wants to setup a PIN through the mobile app. I understand security, however Not giving a real-time to set a new PIN is a poor usability review for sure.

  • Full of Advertisements, doesn't seem like a professional app

    In the latest upgrade there a lot of Advertisements on every page. On top of that, clicking on close icon opens the ad in the browser which is typical ad revenue generation technique used by freeware software. Be professional, we have a lot of money and other investments in your bank. Think about customer experience before and making your customer's life easy instead of trying these cheap techniques.
    If you really need to show your products, don't advertise like this. Get some feedback and UX experience from Bank Of America app.

  • Great Finance Tool

    The new redesigned app works well on the iPad and iPhone but sometimes fail to load or launch on an Apple Watch. I own a Series 4 GPS only model and live in USA. But, nonetheless, sometimes Apple Watch does not display anything, just stuck at login screen. Often, I am forced to kill app and reload to force account details fetch.

  • Perfect mobile banking app

    Mobile app provided by HDFC is very good and it’s latest version has improved a lot.. definitely all features are working and they are fast too.. so guys stop commenting negative about this app.. at least be honest please!
