No support for AirPlay
The app used to work perfectly fine until it was updated and my airplay devices are not appearing on „remote players” section of the app… it makes it a pointless app for me…LumaStudio
Needs more features
Great start, but needs way more features. Basic navigation and filtering of content is not present.
Should have a way to display content by actual folder names and sort files/folder by date (ascending/descending). Having it default to only alphabetical order is too rigid.
Have better https support. Every time I start the application says I have a mismatch certificate. No way to update the certificate within the app.Show lesssuilobo
TvOS
I use a universal remote via the “Learn Remote” feature from AppleTV and the DS Video is the only app where the playback buttons (play, pause, fast forward, rewind) don’t work. They work fine for YouTube, Amazon Prime, Spotify and other apps. So devs, please fix this issue, it’s very frustrating.

Absolutely rubbish
I can’t use it because it doesn’t support playing over http with custom port. It has an option for it but it fails when playing anything. Avoid this company at all costs.Lizzzardous
It has been great
This is a great tool to be able to see our video library on the Video Station.
It misses some functionality such as labeling / tagging but it gives a good way of organization into collections and folders. I like the sharing options as well.
However, one of my main use case was to mark files to download so I can access them on the road, when I have no WiFi on my iPad. This is (over a year now) not possible without transcoding. I have switched away from this app to DS file now.Show lesstriplestep0
Working inconsistently with iOS 14.4!
This app is very erratic. I get an error message stating that video playback fails due to port forwarding issues. Then I try again, a message pops up saying that my Synology is no longer connected.
After repeated tries on playing a video, then all of a sudden... it works.FTech

The app’s had some hiccups in the past with new iOS updates and Synology wasn’t as speedy to fix those hiccups as I wished they were, but give them credit: they DID FIX THEM! (Thanks, Synology!!)
This is the best way to watch video content on your Apple TV from your Synology NAS, which is the best NAS system around. I’ve got several of them for home and my business and they’ve performed well and been nothing but rock solid. Highly recommend their devices and this app.Show lessTkeva

The TVOS app is broken beyond use.
Please update. It's nearly two years since it was last updated and now is currently so broken that is 100% unusable.
C'mon Synology. Stuff like this make me begin to lose faith in your brand. Surely you are aware of this.SirBed
