  • Moodtrack is better than any journal I’ve used.

My mood changes so often that even I can’t keep up. Any time I’m really upset, angry, or happy ... I can express myself in a few words and be finished. This is the perfect way to keep up with what’s going on in your life, and how you feel about it. I love it, and I’ve used so many online journals and mood things, but after a few days I just lose interest. This is my favorite. I’m thrilled I found it. Good job Moodtrack!

  • PERFECT 🖤

I’ve tried a few other apps for tracking mood or for support from other people with mental disorders like mine (I’m bipolar 1) but this is the only app I will use from now on. I can track my moods and share them directly with the people in my family I’d like to be able to see. It’s also great with support because it’s not a bunch of overbearing “it will be ok”s or “have you tried therapy” which at least for me makes me feel worse. Also it’s 100% anonymous.

  • Brilliant

I was just looking for something to keep track of my moods as I can be really upset one minute and happy the next. Drives me crazy so would like to see what sets me off really. But I love this app soo much. Being able to share your thoughts and so many people with similar thoughts to uplift one another. Brilliant idea.

  • Desperately needs to work out some kinks

Overall good concept and decent app. I’ve been using for 2 years on and off but there are some things I have not seen be fixed and I think it’s really ridiculous because it’s been years. When I go to edit my post and click in he text box, the text disappears and it’s just blank space that I can scroll through. I don’t know what word is being highlighted because it’s just white and blank. So if I made a typo I can’t even go back and edit it. Annoying.

And the notification badge won’t go away in the app unless I click on the specific notification to look at it even if it’s just someone liking/heart my post.

I would like to see the addition of the ability to like someone’s comment or reply so i can acknowledge that I’ve seen their post to me without having to comment back. As someone with mental illness and an issue with needing validation, I understand that sometimes people don’t want to feel ignored or they feel bad but also some posts I have nothing left to comment back on except that I agree, please fix.

  • I like it

Came across it looking for a notebook app, and have found it to be helpful. I like the social aspect of it, as you can say whatever is on your mind (uncensored, so far). Sometimes you receive feedback or comments from others. It's like a relaxed therapy group. I responded to a woman's post my first day. She was pretty stressed out, and for good reasons. I had/have a friend in a similar situation, and felt like I could help her to feel not so isolated. She appreciated the comment, and that made me feel good.
There are also random posts that actually made me lol, so that's awesome.
I don't have much of a social life, since I had my daughter, and this helps me feel more connected to people.
Check it out. No strings attached 🙂

  • Posted publicly

Not anonymous unless you pay for the app. Why in the world would you post my private medical issues publicly. Deleted app and not willing to pay because of your business model.
  • Only can post logs publicly?!?!?!

Having no option but all of your logs be PUBLIC IS RIDICULOUS. This is HORRIBLE. Do NOT use this app if you are trying to track your moods. You should not be forced to share it with the world as this app is giving you no choice other than.
  • Happy happy happy

I just started using this a few days ago and at first I didn’t like putting in my own words for my mood but then I realized that combined with the number scale is totally awesome. It I so much more than I expected. I also like being able to see other peoples moods and sending and getting their feedback. It is great to make connections and learn from others. Thank you for an awesome app.

  • Could use a few adjustments, but overall a good thing.

    Likes:
Being able to rate mood as needed (it’s extraordinarily simple and quick).

Being able to observe some patterns over time.

Having the option of public posting OR storing notes in a private journal (only available with upgraded version).

    Dislikes:
No way to adjust notifications or alerts (that I can find). The one time I submitted a question about this via the app, I never got a response.

When entering public OR private notes on a mood, you can’t tap in a part of the entry you’ve already written to edit it (you’d have to backspace all the way back to the portion of text you want to edit, then rewrite everything). This means if you care about spelling, grammar, paragraph structure, or style, you’re going to be quite frustrated.

I’d like a finer gradation of moods (at least 1-7 instead of 1-5).

  • The Anti-Facebook

Like so many other other reviewers, I got this app bc I was looking for an easy way to track the patterns between what I eat and how I feel. When I realized posts in the free version were public, I was at first horrified, but then realized they are essentially anonymous bc the app will suggest hilariously random user names when you get started. It feels almost like some kind of social platform, except one where people are actually sharing something closer to “real” life. Users express their feelings of hope, despair, boredom, frustration, joy...it’s like hundreds of tiny micro stories filling up the feed every day. I’m floored...it’s honestly kind of beautiful.

(And if you want the option to make select posts private, the paid version is only $.99.)
