  • You need this game!!!!!!!!!!

I just don't know what to say,I'm still pretty stunned! I just finished the walk.
At first I wanted to give up and it got pretty hard, but I stayed at it and I am so glad, and I do love a challenge! The dark side to this game also has elegance and this is one of the things I loved!!!! Great game.....but stay with it till the end or else you'll miss out on a mind blowing experience.worth every penny!

  • No good

There are no instructions to tell you what you are looking for, how to move around ect. Very boring very quickly when you have no idea what to do or where to go. Don't waste your money on this one.
  • That doll...

I've only just started playing but there's something undeniably terrifying about that goddamned baby doll. It has something to do with the owls but I'm pretty scared about what's gonna happen if I do anything with it... I mean. It's head spins all the way round for God's sake.
  • Reuben

A great game to get you thinking. Amazing illustration work, design and score which creates an immersing moody environment. Be sure to download the companion as well - Essential to finishing the game 100%.
  • Entertaining, haunting, beautiful

I thoroughly enjoyed playing this game. I don't agree with the reviewers who complained that it was too short or didn't have enough levels, I think that misses the point about the whole experience. Focussing on leveling up would undermine the beautifully crafted story. Music is awesome, the design is compelling the game manages to keep a deliciously creepy undertone from start to finish.

  • Very off but definitely interesting

I downloaded this game after I was intrigued by its beauty when a Swedish gamer called pewdiepie had played it. It's exactly my kind of game, I love the style, the music and the reason behind it as I am very into folklore myself. Definitely found the background of the creatures interesting and got slightly worried at what I was reading in the companion, sparked a lot of interest in me and nightmares.

Good scares throughout, the huldra got me good! Very beautifully created and kudos to Simogo for going into real depth and recreating folklore in a game which can very rarely be pulled off. A little too short, but hey what game isn't when you're enjoying it.

I have played this countless times and am happy with what I purchased. Definitely made me look into Scandinavian folklore a lot more since I hadn't taken it into account earlier on, but found it interesting. I hope they do another game similar to this with another country's folklore maybe? Folklore always has a scary edge to it, with rituals and so on.

Thanks Simogo for a wonderful game!

  • Amazing

This game is amazing and has an awesome storyline and was well worth the money just make sure you get the yearwalk companion app (by the way use the number at the end of the game with the companion app)
  • Perfect

The art, the music, everything about this game is perfect. I see it as more of An experience than a game. I especially loved the fact that it was based on Scandinavian folklore. Having the companion is more important than you think ;) Also everyone should buy the soundtrack because it is beautiful. Hopefully a sequal is released ? or atleast a game with the same feel as year walk :) But overall an amazing piece by simogo !!

  • Sad story

Playing on iPhone 5 with earphones on high volume (iPhone 5 earphones are amazing quality).

Oh boy! I walked and walked and kept walking... Until O.o !!!

Would have given 5 stars if it wasn't so short for a game. Extra game companion is a must.

One more thing, turn of the lights, your tv and radio or any other distractions. Sit back and get ready for some walking...

  • Beautiful.

No hand holding. Easy to get lost. "Clues" are almost as opaque as the puzzles themselves. Not much to do other than swipe to and fro. And yet it perfectly captures a sense of bewilderment and confusion, of dread, loss, and mourning. The supernatural spirits are not evil, but melancholy, lonely, and as lost as the humans. There is a sense of deep misery conveyed. I love this game! So, so bizarre. Thank you to the developers.
