Game was really good, very similar to the old PC version. Game did freeze on me a few times, but I was able to work thru it. Only issue I have is that it was not long enough. Got at third planet, and no updates. I would gladly pay a few more bucks to get a few planets added, maybe even be able to play other houses?Show lessVanny34
Is good game
This game is a good game like the real mw but it's has bugs in the soft wear. When following. Ppl in the game. They stop moving. And you can't do anything. I had to rest the level. 4 time befor I got them to go pass the one part . 2 nd level from the end in the lave fields is the same way. But now it's locking up the game and kicking me out but I do like the game and would buy more levels if I cameShow lessBirkofer
Good idea, poor execution
Really want to like this game, as I love strategy games and the mechwarrior universe. But gameplay is pretty dull and graphics are just not that special. Mechs are so small, you can barely see any details and special fx are pretty bad. And over a GB of space?? Most likely largely for the voiceovers. I would have much rather seen the space and effort go into the special effects and graphics than voiceovers.Show lessartfoundry
Serious Performance Issues
The gameplay itself is good, but as a previous reviewer said, the game crashes way too much. Whenever you destroy an enemy mech, it slows down and then jumps ahead, putting you at a serious disadvantage. Sometimes, if the game crashes, it will ask if you would like to return to that same point in the mission, but the new mission parameters never trigger, leaving you with unresponsive mechs and no way to finish the mission.
I was enjoying it until I got to the sixth mission, where it just seemed like the hardware couldn't handle it, and after attempting to finish it three times (I was literally seconds away from finishing it the last time) I just find myself not wanting to touch it because of the length and frustration. Either fix the issues or take it off the store. The game is completely unusable due to these issue.Show lessmjav
Would get a lot higher but keeps crashing
So the game itself is great! Engaging, decent controls thought there is some getting used to it. Good story, voice acting, graphics, and look.
However, the game keeps crashing! Like all the time. Happens after about 15-20min. Even reset the device and only opened the game. Crashed when the final wave of mechs was in the middle of coming in. It gets two stars cause the auto save to come back from crashes is pretty frequent, cause I don't lose much time. But,

Not bad
Close to MechCommander on the PC, but for the iPad.
Would like to be able to skip the dialog scenes when starting a match.
Also, mechs get stuck beyond the screen area in the black section a lot. Usually happens during matches where action is near edge of black and game hangs for several seconds during this time.Show lessToddSpengo
Great game
Have completed the campaign, really enjoyed it. For me at least, the issues reported in the previous posts don't apply. I experienced no crashes, glitches etc, (iPad 3).
Campaign is a touch on the short side and it can be difficult to fully utilise the special abilities of of your pilots, but this limitation is due to the touch screen interface being cumbersome for all RTS games.
The debs obviously take this project seriously as they addressed all of the issues that were reported.
All in all, worth the money. Looking forward to additional campaigns/missions, would happily pay for IAP.Show lessSmoggler
Incredible!
This game is way better than I expected! It features full Retina Support for the New iPad, easy to use controls, high quality in-game videos, a storyline before and during missions with voice localization, a memory database that contains info (on mechs, vehicles, technology, etc), a mech bay (where you can equip, and change your mechs), and a few other cool features.
Overall this is definitely a great game for MechWarrior fans, or those who simply like strategy games. It's certainly worth the money! Why not give it a try for yourself?Show lessAkindio
Buggy to the point of unusable.
Very very crashy. Lags every time an enemy mech is destroyed. Occassionally leaves your mechs off the edge of the board and unable to return. Occassionaly leaves your mechs unresponsive. Occasionally simply wont move on to the next goal leaving the mission unfinishable.
The setting is compelling enough that I tried multiple times to finish the 6th mission, but always got stopped by one of the above issues.Show lessrreay
Great mech warrior but unstable
Play... Stutter... Play a little... Freeze stutter... Crash. Reload game. Play and crash. Reload game. Play... Stutter... Play... Stutter... Crash!
When you can play its incredible. But it stutters, freezes and crashes mor than you play. When enemies "spawn" or objectives update or you kill an enemy it freezes the game and crashes just happen. I nearly threw my phone across the room in frustration after two crashes and a glitch on reload where my mechs wouldn't move.
But the game is awesome. Especially once you get into the mech bay. Customizing your payload brings you right back to the old classic mech warrior games. Just wish it didn't crash so much. And yes I have iCloud off.Show lessGuilius
