  • Never thought it’d be possible

Now if you had told me I’d be able to run a 5k after 8 weeks I’d have laughed in your face. And two days ago I still didn’t think it was possible. I don’t know what happens on week 8 of training but something within you just unlocks and you’re suddenly able to run?? This is coming from a girl that walked every single mile run in gym class… I’m not kidding. Never in my LIFE have I been able to run a mile so when I finally did it that first run in week 8, I told myself that even if I don’t hit the 5k at the end I should be supremely proud of myself and I was!!! But then that second run in week 8 I did 1.5 miles without stopping and today I did a 5k… was it fast?? Absolutely not lol but considering two days ago I didn’t even think I could do it??? I’m so so impressed with this app !! Would recommend even for non runners who want to get into running, they really do start you slow and you’ll probably end up surprising yourself!!

  • I love this app but y’all gotta fix these issues

I have used this app on and off since it first came out. I never completed the entire training (but that’s a me thing not a you thing). BUT my sister and I decided to start training together (2 workouts apart, 1 workout meeting at the park between us.)we both have iPhones…she finished the first workout and the app crashed as she was opening it to complete her workout. I was on my second workout when I went to reopen the app to complete my workout and the app crashed. In both instances our workouts were lost as you can imagine is quite discouraging especially when you’re first starting out. If you check the apps known issues it says that the app crashes near the ends of runs if you have many run logs saved WELP, I had *one* log saved and in my sisters case, she had ZERO. Please fix this issue! It’s so discouraging. I want to be able to keep using this app for training!

  • Not always accurate

I really enjoy the variety in drills this app provides, and love that each day there’s a different part of the story. I always do this on a treadmill, though, and have my phone on the stand rather than in my pocket because I like to keep track of the time. 1 - even though I have the settings to track steps rather than GPS the app doesn’t believe I’m going anywhere because my phone isn’t in my pocket. 2 - some of the descriptions for each day aren’t what is actually done each day. For example, week 6 says run 12 min but it’s actually walk fast for 5 and free form run 7. Week 6 day 1 has you run 7 min walk 2 min twice but the last 7 min run is actually 8 min. Sometimes the amount of time that is noted isn’t accurate. These are all things I can get past but still simple annoyances to fix.
