I added daily checkin reminder notifications (Thanks for the request Mark!) I fixed an issue that caused stats to give negative and "NaN" results (sorry other Mark!) In the previous update, I added Checkin Streaks. This was a feature that a lot of people were asking for.

Check-ins now have streaks! Checking in is a way to show that you are actively viewing your clock and keeping your recovery at the forefront of your mind. When you open your clock, tap the second icon in the bottom menu. This is where you check in. All you have to do is hold down on the circle, and it will create a timestamped log. If you have accountability partners, they can see your check-in history and even get notifications every time you check in. Now, when you check in on consecutive days, you can start building up a streak. I hope you like the update :) I can’t find the email of the person who suggested streaks, but shout out to you if you read this! Thanks!

Description of Nomo

Hi! My name is Parker. I'm not a company. I'm just a guy in recovery who made Nomo as a tool to keep me on track and motivated. Nomo is short for, "No More". It's a passion project of mine and I hope it helps you as much as it has been helping me! I spent the last year and a half completely recoding Nomo from scratch If you're looking for a simple clock that can track the number of days you've been sober/clean/etc, then Nomo is perfect for you. You can create as many clocks as you need for any hurts, habits, or hang ups. Your clocks are completely private by default and will count those days for you. If you're looking for something more, just check under the hood. Nomo has tons of optional features like an encouragement wall from the community, accountability partner searching, clock sharing, private messaging with partners, milestone awards, journaling, little games/exercises to help you refocus when you're tempted, and tons more! What makes Nomo so great? • Create as many sobriety clocks as you need • Find accountability parters! • Share selected clocks with accountability partners • Send a notification to partners when you're feeling tempted • Send/Receive notifications when a clock has been reset • Get a detailed breakdown of your progress down to the minute • See how much money you've saved by not supporting your habit • Earn chips when you reach certain milestones in your recovery • Share your success on Facebook and Twitter • Submit and read encouragements from the community • View all of your chips at once to keep you encouraged • Tap the “check in” button on your shared clocks to show accountability partners that you’re active in your sobriety • Mini-distraction exercises to help you refocus when you’re feeling tempted • Prevent someone from accessing your Nomo app with a secure PIN and/or Face/Touch ID. Nomo is perfect for anyone recovering from Alcohol, Anger, Body Dysmorphia, Benzodiazepines, Caffeine, Cheating, Chewing Tobacco, Codependency, Contact, Control, Exercise, Depression, Dermatillomania, Drugs, Fighting, Food, Gambling, Hallucinogens, Hoarding, Inhalants, Internet, Kleptomania, Laziness, Lying, Masturbation, Nicotine, Onychophagia, Opioids, Painkillers, Perfectionism, Pornography, Procrastination, Pyromania, Relationships, Self-harm, Sex, Shame, Smoking, Social Media, Shopping, Steroids, Stimulants, Stress, Sugar, Tanning, Texting, Trichotillomania, Tobacco, Video Games, Work, or any other kind of hurt, habit, or hangup. I hope it’s a valuable tool for you in your recovery.

  • Some suggestions!

This is by far the best self-help app I’ve ever gotten, it has a journal, ways to calm down, support from others in similar situations, and the customization allows you to track everything from self love to lying to alcohol. You can tell how much work and care the creator put into this, and it shows.

Some suggestions I would LOVE if you added is a way to track triggers for separate things, and a place to write down how to cope with said triggers. I would also love if you enabled emojis in the journal section, either that or a mood tracker.

Please consider these at your leisure! It’s fine if you decide not to do these at all, they’re merely suggestions.

  • Excels on every level!

Beautifully designed Intuitive and fun user experience High appeal to the recovering addict Well organized Nomo is such a pleasure to use. I don’t know the developer personally, but I’m a fan of great design. It has sobriety clocks, as many as you want for whatever you’re quitting. It tracks your money, time and calorie savings. During cravings, it has Refocus activities to help you get through. It has had its occasional bugs, but no deal breakers and they’re eventually fixed. Being part of a sober community is essential in recovery. When you can’t be, this app has everything you need. Please buy Parker a few coffees and a dozen donuts. He’s doing a huge service with his talents. Service is the key to recovery, people! 🙂

  • It’s helpful

I’ve been using for a few weeks now and it’s nice to have a visual representation of your progress. It makes it enjoyable to help fight for sobriety because you don’t want to have to reset your clock and start back at zero. Of course you can cheat it but it makes you practice accountability for yourself by seeing that you have in and had to reset the clock. This gives you an opportunity to sit and self reflect about what lead you to give in and journal about it giving you an outline of your most common triggers.

I’m by no means saying that this is the key to sobriety but for me it is a helpful tool as long as you stay true to yourself.

I gave it 4 starts because the notifications don’t seem to be working for me. I don’t know if its something on my end or theirs. If it’s on my end please reach out for troubleshooting tips.
