  • Excellent strat game

    Great
  • No good

There's not many levels and after the first few it's so hard I got sick of it

    Well done!
  • Fun and challenging!

Yep, just like advanced wars on the GBA - which is why I love this modern take so much!
  • What you are looking for!

This game takes the concept of a certain classic game on another system and turns it into something I can play on my phone as a respectable adult. Beautifully polished game, humour, lovely graphics and sound but importantly a good difficulty curve and fun tutorial missions. Great game hooked for 2 days now!

  • Capital Game

has humour, has strategy, has good difficulty levels - everything you could ask for in a iOS game
  • Worthy purchase!

Great little turn based strat. Plays well and levels are well balanced. Fun little narrative, touch underwritten at times but bit of a laugh. Good game!
  • Advanced Wars in new clothes.

I loved AW on game boy and this is a fairly shameless copy with skin changes. But it's still a fun game, and if you're a fan of the inspiration for this then you'll dig it.
I note some reviewers found it "complicated" or "slow" or "random attributes". These reviewers have no idea and should stick to Angry Birds.

I just wish there was more advanced maps after the campaign. Hopefully some expansion goodness to come??

  • Difficult to figure out

I just tried this for the first time and found it frustrating to understand and play .. Not clear and slow to use .. Not a game I immediately loved nor would I recommend.
  • Online Turn based strategy done well

Warbits is a turn based tactics game inspired by Advance Wars. It recreates the core of this game in an online environment. The execution of this is very well done. The Rock Paper Scissors game of units in terms of gameplay is present and makes you think strategically of what units to build. The UI and the system of finding games is clean and works, it is asynchronous so you can play multiple games at once. The best thing about this game is there is no luck or RNG involved, every victory or defeat is directly based off your decisions not a dice roll. In a nutshell fans of Advance Wars or any tactics game should give Warbits a try.
