Must hand over data to use
I am sick of apps that purport to offer a service that inherently requires no data-sharing yet, requires that you hand over your personal data and the information that has no cause to have been transferred in order to provide the service.
The GDPR statement looks as if it would fool most but, failing to provide any meaningful usage, times or purpose details in the statement or more appropriately (and legally) at the point of request means it fails at the first hurdle.
A time limited app that then requires you pay for the privilege of relocating information that need not be off your device is simply a means to milk subscriptions. It the cost of the subscription was closer to the cost of provision plus a healthy profit, it would be somewhat less gouging (still money for nothing though). However, the asking price here is so disproportionate to the provision of service (even if it was warranted) it is a shameful cash grab.
For all of the pretty visuals, the chosen business model is likely to sink this app rather than create a healthy and profitable app.Show lessM Hollingsworth
Corrupt cancellation process, beware
Great app idea, terrible customer service and they have sneaky extra steps to putting your subscription payment on hold / canceling. Cost me many months of not using the service. Buyer beware.Agr3.14

Nifty app and service. However, the subscription price is down right offensive. To put into perspective, premium productivity software subscription services (e.g., office 365, ms exchange, adobe creative cloud, etc.) cost a fraction of this, and those are need-to-have tools to get the job done (unlike Timely).Show lessGeKaram

I deleted the app once it became a subscription model. Really!!?? Small developers should stop thinking they are Adobe!! How many subscriptions do we need to have?? For a time tracking app???!!! Please!!! At least give the option of a one time payment for a lifetime license like many other developers do. 3 stars because app is good but biz model not so much!Show lessMojoBoy
I dislike recent “update”
The recent “update” made the reports less user-friendly. The reports don’t automatically default to this month anymore, so I now have to scroll through all the months since I started using the app. No way to change back to the old style reports on the app.Anonyme22
Great for students
I am a student.
I love this app for tracking my hours spent in class and on my homework. Thanks to the app helping me log my hours with near perfect accuracy, I can see exactly where my time is going with tags for lecture/study/etc.
If you’re an overly organized student that uses Google Calendar to plan out every day, then you’ll love this app too. It helps me follow through on my plans for myself. In the future I plan to continue using timely in the workplace whether freelancing or otherwise.Show lessnbamike
Expensive / not worth even 1.99 a month
Over priced for basic functionality and an adequate ux.
Was an early adopter who helped fund initial development. They don’t care and force everyone into their new, $20/mon plans

App is really bad and lacks too many features
UX is not the greatest, still using Timely because the MacOS app works okay, as soon as there’s another product with a descent UI I’ll switch for sure, it’s super expensive, kind of ridiculous.jaoyagi

I really appreciate this app but...
I really appreciate this app, because I can confidently know how many hours to charge my clients without guessing. I like the UI and the layout. Of course there's always room for improvement.
Unfortunately this app keeps crashing and locking out my keyboard.
I pay for a monthly subscription for this app and I hope it gets fixed. I don't want to learn a new application but if this keeps happening I'll be forced to find something more stable.Show lessFingers tar
