  • Excellent going to SaaS the wrong way

Sorry, but the previous version was ok. Forcing the subscription model on the new version of the same product, was a bad idea. You say you think we would like it, well you thought wrong. It should be optional and offer new features to push towards an up sell. Now you lost me for sure, I rather not use your software at all. Mainly because you revoked what we had, and forced us to a subscription. Bad product management.

  • New and improved timely app is perfect

This app syncs timers correctly across all devices - including web browsers on Windows.

Unlike other timer apps on the App Store, you can plan and track time simultaneously. It is so intuitive.

It is also very flexible. If you have two different organizations that you are part of, it is very easy to switch between them and track your time.

The app supports all of iOS multitasking features, such a slide-over and split view.

I use this app every day.

  • Business not personal

    Update
Update: I see full disclosure of price now.
I was asked to revaluate the app and my review. I have not tried the app due to the cost. For my personal use, I cannot justify it, so there is no point in trying it. It may be amazing. I’m not sure if I would be able to do the free trial a second time, but I don’t want to mess with remembering to cancel automatic renewal, when I’m just not willing to spend over $150 year for this service. I hope this app works amazing for those who can afford to use it.

Maybe I missed the disclosure of cost. It looks like it would be a good time tracker, but I can't justify the cost for my needs. I'm looking to track time for my personal use. I feel it should have disclosed the cost more clearly. You can't try it without signing up for 14 day trial and there are not lesser options. If I was billing $250 hour, I'd try it.

Hi TashaSunny, Roman here, iOS developer at Timely. I'm wondering if you could give our app another try. We've been working a lot on improving everything. And we are very upfront about app's business model. Thanks!
  • Great app, saves me money!

This is a great application that saves me money each month. As a freelancer, I rely on billing. So if forget to start the time or the app loses my data (happened with a competitor’s product), I lose money. This app is rock stable. If I forget to start a timer, the memory function helps me work out what I was doing. Thank you for a great app!

  • They ripped me off, literally

I signed up for the essential plan at the monthly rate because I didn’t want to be locked into an annual plan. They immediately charged me for an entire year, leading to a credit on my account which has slowly been dropping each month as I’m invoiced at the higher monthly rate. When I cancelled my subscription, I expected to be refunded the remaining credit, but I was informed they don’t do refunds. I’m also not certain that after this month ends that I’ll be able to use my remaining credit without re-subscribing. So beware, anyone thinking of purchasing a paid plan.

  • Doesn’t do what I need it to do

They started charging for an app that doesn’t do what I need it to do, so obviously I had to delete it.

The problem for me was, it wouldn’t store the exact time I started and ended working on something. It would round up to 15 minutes. Very often I work on one task for 5 minutes, another for 6 minutes and at the end of the day I need to know that I can combine that separate work into one 15 minute chunk for billing. Not 30 minutes because the app decided to round up. I’m also collecting this information so that I know how Long certain things take me, and I can explain to others why things take the time that they do.

  • Overpriced and average.

$20 a month are you kidding me? This is a $20 a year at best. My full accounting software with Times is $10 a month for the top plan. Avoid this rip off.

  • Easiest, best user interface for 2017

Timely has become a daily addiction for me - one of the first apps I launch on startup, and keep open throughout the day. It's hard to explain the motivation I get by seeing my income climb each hour, and how much I'm planning to earn the rest of the day/week. Timely nails it. It keeps me moving. And it helps me find areas where I forgot to bill people, using the "Memory" feature which auto-logs what I'm doing in case I forget.

I've tried the rest, and THIS is a stand out in a category dominated by bloated, cumbersome and boring software. A+++

  • RIP. OFF.

From free to $19 a month??? Are you kidding me??????
  • Useful tool for logging study periods

Been trailing this app to monitor my time on various study projects I am engaged in and will be expanding the use to other projects. Very easy to use and flexible. So far one of the best apps I have seen. Considering upgrading!
