If you would be willing to contact our support team at helpme@backblaze.com, they can help you send us a log so we can look into your Face ID issues. In the meantime, make sure that when you go to the Settings screen, both Remember My Login Info and Use Face ID to Log In are toggled on. (If you only have Remember My Login Info on, the app will log you in automatically without requiring Face ID.) I saw this back up program and it was well priced. I have used this for a while and I don’t know what is going on but with new Mac updates the system is unusable the app install doesn’t work. They request logs which also fail to generate. I can’t log into the site to get the logs. Worst part? They have an email only support. So your precious backups, if your in trouble, you’ll have to wait for a drip of slow emails to get help. As of now I’ve gone weeks with no backups being done as I can’t get anything to work and I’m on my 35th email back and forth with no help. A day will go by with no responses. No phone is available and while it’s 2023, for something as important as file backups, there is NO chat feature. No tech support to figure this out.
So day by day we exchange emails and one solution fails after another and even though I’ve paid for the service, you’ll get another not working solution and “sorry for your frustration”. I prepaid two years so they have yet to even think gee, he shouldn’t pay for the month or so he has no backups!! No chat feature? Serious? I am at the End of my rope. The restore function also is painful and slow, clunky and takes forever to refresh. Stay away. Now I know why it’s well priced. I enjoyed the unlimited backup space-but you get what you Pay for. Can't preview media thumbnail
I'm using the 15 day trial and have begun my initial backup. My content is mostly videos, and when trying to download content from the app, you can't preview the thumbnails for any of the videos. So you won't know which content you're downloading unless you take time to name every single file something descriptive.Show lessPasta pasta

Budget based backup
The backup is a price performer for larger hard drives. But there is no way to trigger backups of external drives. So you need to keep the computer on for days until the drive is recognized. If it’s not recognized in time, it is forgotten and a much longer process is needed to get the drive backed up again.
If you need to restore, there is a cumbersome re-download process. And there is no on demand access as with competitors.Show lessForced to the Burbs
Fast and easy access
This mobile app provided me with secure easy access to my backed up files. I was able to retrieve a file on my phone securely and quickly. Not sure about the negative reviews but was not the case for me!

Great service, slow app
The service, through the website, works great, but there is a significant wait until you see your file tree. This app is the same. Some sort of progress indicator, other than the spinning wheel, would clarify if the app is working, or crashing.NewMorning
Completely Useless
From first launch it was non responsive and I could not enter my email address to log in. I had to delete it and reinstall to finally get it to log in
After logging in, it showed out date information for my computer. It was showing a drive that hadn’t been used or backed up in 6 month. And it would not show the two drives that are currently being backed up.
