It Does What it Claims to Do
I use Backblaze B2 as my primary backup destination for both my servers and my desktops. There are some files in there that I might need in an emergency, and this app makes it easier for me to get to them from any of my Apple devices. That’s all I need it to do, so I’m happy.GeekOnTheHill
Not very useful
If you want to download some files from your account to your phone, this will work a charm. If you want to do it know anything else, this app doesn’t do that.crustycurmudgeon

Hi! This app is indeed a backup browser and was not initially built to do more than letting you browse and view backed-up files from your personal computer or drive. That said, if you do have B2 Cloud Storage, the app allows you to manage content there -- you can create buckets and folders, upload files, and delete folders/files/buckets. If there are specific features you're interested in, we'd like to know -- if you tap on the app's Settings tab, and tap on the "Provide Feedback" link at the bottom near the Sign Out button, it will take you to a feedback form where you can give us more details about what you'd like to see in the app. We appreciate your feedback.Would Give it a Zero if I could
I’ve used Backblaze for 15 years to back up my iMac. After my iMac crashed in November I used Backblaze to restore. Several months later I realized 4/5 of my pictures were missing. When I called backblaze to get support for finding those pictures, I become aware that they have horrible customer service. They do not do any telephone support. I spent the last week exchanging emails,, waiting half a day in between emails. Customer support is obviously not reading all of the email exchange because I have to use phrases such as “as I explained in my previous email, I tried that …”.
A week later, I still do not have all of my missing photos and I’m unsure if I will ever recover my children’s baby pictures. Very upsetting experience with a company I’ve given 15 years worth of payments to.Show lessRTOTET

I’d like the app to match iOS design standards (fonts, number pad for entering authentication code, etc.). It would be helpful to add contact/help links, and links to features unavailable on mobile (order backup drives, etc).DeeSaf

Haven’t been able to log into the backups for some time, just sits and clocks after logging in and never actually gets into the actual service. Have removed/reinstalled multiple times in an attempt to make it work, nothing. Disappointing.KoburaKommander

I was pleasantly surprised how quickly the service backed up my entire hard drive. For the price, this simply cannot be beat. Access from the phone app isn’t attractive, but it worked right away for me and has been easy to navigate. So thankful for B2 vs the competitors!k86
Disappointing
This app is a real disappointment. It’s extremely slow to load which makes finding files a laborious process. It’s also quite cumbersome and basic, doesn’t feel like a modern product. It’s actually making me reconsider my Backblaze subscription.OJB

When you say it is extremely slow to load, we would appreciate more details -- do you mean that the app itself is slow to show the login screen, or that when you tap on a backed up host computer or drive to list its files, that the app only slowly returns that content? If you are willing to contact our Support team, they could gather details so that we can reproduce and fix the issue. They may be able to offer a suggestion also if the issue is that your tree is loading slowly. We also appreciate the feedback about the app not feeling like a modern product. Too many old reviews pulling this score down. Backblaze is the best value backup service by far. This app gives me a directory view of my backed up files. I love the service. And this app lets me easily put any of file onto my phone!Frugala
Basic / unreliable service
Good in concept, but after peaking in the inner workings of the software with the support, this is not something for serious businesses. You can find better, cheaper and way more reliable elsewhere.Fictususa
Solid app
This app is very useful, but some additional features would improve it substantially. I would like to see stats on my buckets and folders that are only available online like the storage space used for buckets and folders and the number of items located in those places. Also a history of last modified or uploaded or downloaded files would be nice. These features would eliminate my need to go to the website.
