Poor

The worst. Browse train times find one you are happy with then click on purchase - have to enter all journey details again (yes really). Conned into downloading based on its claims to support Apple Pay - which of course it doesn't. Did support visa or Amex either when I tried today - claiming my card details were invalid. Feel conned of an hour of my life

Doesn't make it obvious which tickets are available as an mticket

I downloaded this because there's no other app that uses the iOS wallet app to bring up your train tickets. But it doesn't make it clear which train journeys are available to buy the mtickets and which aren't. An app like Trainline has this, but they aren't on the Wallet app. It's really crap at the moment if you want to be a futuristic commuter.

Dies and corrupts its own database

After a few days of successful use, every route I tried resulted in โ€œInput validation error. See DATA attribute for a list of specific errors.โ€ But nothing on the screen is labeled โ€œDATAโ€. Maybe itโ€™s some diagnostic output that only the developer can see? Now even routes that I previously planned successfully get this error. Removing the app and reinstalling it didnโ€™t fix it, despite the usual warning that all data would be lost. Iโ€™m jut glad it broke in Seattle instead of in London when Iโ€™d really depend on it.

Excellent app

Very useful, works exactly as described.

Not bad but needs work

App shows great promise but has several bugs and issues.

Be extra vigilante with the dates you are actually buying tickets for, as the advertising banner can interfere with initial return date selection.

There's also another issue where the menu can disappear forcing you to force quit the app.

I did have some issues with one of my journeys that was not my fault, but after several phone calls and a few heated emails the issues were resolved to my satisfaction at no cost to myself, although I did have to repurchase tickets while waiting for this to be resolved.

Have to say their ticket prices are extremely competitive too - with some work it's potentially a 5 star app!!

Works as advertised. Needs better integration with Oyster.

App is great. Would be great if it could calculate cost on an Oyster card. Also would be nice if you could set the route preference to avoid zone 1.

Delayed trains "disappear"

Good for checking times and buying tickets if you want a standard return but no weekly or monthly tickets. If your train is late though it won't inform you or advise why it's delayed it just assumes it was on time and moves on to the next one.

Great

Handy app, easy to use, ability to save and check on my home and work stations is great

Invaluable

This is a quick, easy app which still works well when you aren't connected to a wifi router.

myTrains

Very good app. Makes it easy to discover, plan and purchase tickets for trains in UK. Much better than the Trainline app.
