Still being tested??
I think the app is overall better - it doesn’t take forever for information to load and is a lot easier to navigate. However, there are things that need to fixed that should have never been an issue.
- Square can only be used for credit card transactions. I can’t use my gift cards or any other transaction type. If they aren’t allowing any other transaction type in Square, it should have been communicated clearly.
- Text reminders send the amount of time that I’ve blocked off for an appointment. This is what my client got on Saturday:
Appointment Reminder: “120 min 90 Minute Massage on Mon 02/20 at 10:30AM at [place of business] Replies will not be received - automated message.”
Why is the amount of time I’ve blocked off also sent to them? It confuses my clients and I get several questions a week about this.SHJBTM

I like it so far! It runs faster than the old app. Just waiting to be able to take payments thru square. I know I can save card on file and check out that way. But I have lots of clients who don’t save credit cards on file.
I still have to use old massagebook app to take payments.

Thank you for your review and feedback! It is possible to take payment through your Square reader without needing to save a card on file. If you are having troubles connecting your reader, you may need to disconnect and reconnect to Square within the desktop version of MassageBook. Full steps can be found within the feedback form in the main menu of MassageBook Manager. This app is so much improved. It is a brand new release of this version, and there were a few significant bugs. However, they have been addressed and moreover, the functionality has been expanded a great deal. The weather app is so much better now and the iPhone app is still catching up a bit, but I am so pleased.Powerlifter51
Very problematic
Massagebook used to be wonderful, I’ve been using the app for 5 years or so. Something has happened, now my experience is Ugh!! If I could give this app negative stars I would. Today, I can’t even check them out!! I am DONE!!!
I’m often apologizing to clients for the glitchy checkout process. When clients add cards on file, it’s really not on file. So we have to add the card on file on-site. Or manually input the card. I offer a high end service, but this app does not reflect the customer service I want to deliver to my clients. Too many others to list here. I’ve complained so much I’ve annoyed myself. In talks with other services. IDK what else to do. Good luck Massagebook. Don’t think I can stay on any longer.app Does not work!!!
Glitchy, Most Features Don’t Work
This updated version of the app is barely functional. After a couple of weeks of use, glitches and errors have increased.
-Unable to check out using Square
-Schedule often won’t load
-Intake forms aren’t viewable
-Cannot send intake forms or updates to clients
-Regular error messages
-Have to sign in more than once per day, app does not save log-in info
-Analog clock setting for appointment scheduling is sloppy
-Email responses from Massagebook take daysGleela82

We have released a few updates since version 1.0.1, which resolve issues with the schedule loading and the ability to send intake forms. If you are having troubles connecting to Square, please check the steps listed within the feedback form that can be found within the main menu of MassageBook Manager.
