  • Game play

When I lowered the speed of movement from .5 to .259 I got a much better game experience. Great to play thus game again after many years.
  • Great game but terrible game ply

I tried on my 2021 M1 iPad Pro. Apparently you need to use a mouse or gaming device to actually enjoy the game. The Apple Pencil does not work with it and input with your finger using the on screen input is useless. I played all original versions when they came out using a windows computer and mouse which worked flawlessly. This version is not ready for casual game play on an iPad.

Hi there, by default, if you are not using a physical gamepad or keyboard, movement is done using the virtual gamepad controls displayed on the screen. You can move the thumb stick displayed on the screen to move that way. If that method is uncomfortable, you can turn on “legacy navigation mode” in the controls settings menu to use single-touch movement. Let us know if that helps!
  • Unplayable on iPhone

Controls are rough and text is impossible to read. Battery drains INCREDIBLY fast and phone really heats up.

Don’t waste your time with this one.
  • Phone gets very hot when playing

I adored the original game for PC, and I really wanted to like this one, but it made my iPhone 14 get very hot very quickly after starting to play. It's also kind of hard to appreciate the graphics on such a tiny screen.
  • Awesome remake! A masterpiece!

I haven’t played this in about 20 years. It’s amazing to play it again on the iPhone 14 Pro Max. The Myst devs did a great job making this playable and beautiful. Excellent performance and beautiful gameplay. This really is a masterpiece!

Wow, thank you so much for your review! Glad to hear you are enjoying it.
  • A brilliant refresh of a timeless classic.

Not sure what the one star reviews are on about, this is a great mobile version of Myst. It's more akin to realMyst Masterpiece Edition so I think it's necessarily demanding in hardware specs. It requires at minimum an A12 powered iPad e.g. 8th gen, or an M1/M2 iPad Pro. If you have that I'd recommend giving it a go. The free demo version will give you a good idea of whether it sparks your curiosity.

Hi there, there is a virtual gamepad displayed on iPad when you are first able to move. If that is uncomfortable to use, you can use the keyboard on a magic folio, or you can use “legacy navigation mode” through the controls settings menu to use a single finger touch to move. Let us know if that helps!
  • Beautiful Reconstruction!

The Unreal Engine treatment is exactly what this game needed ask these years later. Controls are highly customizable and intuitive. Bravo! Post haste to Riven please!!!!
  • Myst on my iPad

I bought the latest version, not knowing I need a controller to play the game, hence asking for a refund. Really would be good to say about the controller, not just “play on your iPad”

Hi there, you do not need a controller to play the game. You can use the virtual gamepad controls, a magic folio, or enable “legacy navigation mode” through the controls settings menu, which will allow you to play with touching using a single finger.
  • Battery killer

Played for 15 minutes. Dropped from 100% to 77%. 😳😳
