  • Ads and quiz are misleading

I got Liven thinking it was going to be a good supplement to another goals-oriented app I use. The ads I saw made Liven seem like it would help you create routines based on quiz answers, but instead of sending a routine or information about your quiz results as promised, the quiz dumps you into a paywall to use the app. I was naive enough to pay for access thinking it would show me my personalized results in the app. Instead, the app turned out to be disappointing; at least in the procrastination section, the user does the heavy lifting to populate daily goals, and the suggestions are extremely limited, and none of the exercises feel personal or even slightly aligned to the quiz that funneled me in. It’s so similar to other apps I’ve given up on that I decided to cancel the subscription an hour in, but was told by customer service that they don’t give refunds for “personal reasons” (aka not feeling that the app delivered what was advertised). No free trial and the amount of effort Liven put into their funnel instead of into the app itself… I’m waving the red flag in hopes that people who really need help with goals and mental health won’t end up in my situation. There are way more apps out there with more considerate and robust features and onboarding.
  • Don’t waste your money

If you can’t set your own schedule and stick to it then don’t get this app. That’s what they have you do, set your own schedule set your own activities, and it’s not for men at all, if you are a man and you consider self care shopping and doing makeup maybe this is for you. I have really tough time setting my own schedule and sticking to it because I procrastinate. A bunch of chicks sat down in a room an said this works for ladies so let’s get men to do it too. They have no idea what it takes for men to fix their problems. I am trying to fix my procrastination not figure out how to make time for my make up routine or shopping. There ain’t a dang thing on this app for any real man to improve his live in a meaningful way. What a waste of money. Spend your cash on a life coach
  • Preys on the Problem for which you seek help!

This app is taking advantage of the very problem they claim to help. They are able to function outside the Apple subscription service and use a come on initial charge that increases fourfold after the first month. I received no invoice for the additional monthly charges nor the promised personalized plan. They offer only very basic boilerplate functionality and not the individualized services that they claim. I was duped and can only blame my own dysfunction. I nevertheless feel taken advantage of and I wish to save others from a similar experience.

My advice: Save your money and find a real therapist.
  • Enjoying the change

I am enjoying all the thought provoking lessons and prompts. There are certain things I wish they went deeper on but am hoping it will come with time in the program. I’m only a week in, and definitely think it’s worth the money with changes I’ve already made. I wish there was a way to revisit past lessons, maybe there it but I haven’t found it. I also removed one star because there is a lag in marking things complete and some days it seems like it doesn’t realize it’s the next day yet. All in all- highly recommend and glad big brother listening in on my convos finally served me an ad that was useful.
  • Customer Support Helpful

The Liven app has a great premise, but the app is not ready for prime time. You receive ads for up-sells before you get access to the real content. For $29 per month, the up-sells should be included. You complete questionnaires which are supposed to personalize the app to your needs. It does not. Then, you are told to set goals from 5 or so categories, but there are few options in each category to choose from. If none of the options apply to your situation, you still must select one to proceed. There is no option to personalize. I thought I must be missing something, but there was no way to find out unless I selected answers that did not fit my situation. I reached out to their customer support, and a week later, reached out again to see if they received my first inquiry. I received a response asking if I would rather receive a few of their up-sells than a refund. I responded that I wanted a refund. I did receive notice of a refund. I hope this app developer can program a lot more personalization into this app (and slow down on the up-sell advertisements). I had been willing to pay a premium for what they promised. I wish this app developer well as they continue to make improvements to their app!
  • Day 2 of Liven

This is the best tool I’ve found. Usually I’m very skeptical about APPS like this and wouldn’t purchase this. I can’t explain why I instantly bought the App without researching it that much and with out hesitation. After only 2 days I feel this is a valuable tool and I wish I had bought the 6 month plan instead of the 1 month. I also rarely leave reviews but I feel this is a great tool!
  • Real Life Solutions

The courses are thought provoking and insightful. You get what you give. I look forward to each day because I know I am going to learn something new about myself. I am very happy I came across this app. Thank you. One more thing the support team is amazing as well. I had a question about one of the reports and they gave me the answer and sent me a free book that is also helpful with my journey to happiness. Eternally grateful for the people and minds that want to help others. Thanks again!
  • High recurring charges with no warning

Read the fine print! After a lengthy trial period (in which most people will have forgotten about this app) they hit you with a $99 recurring fee for another three months. There is no warning. This is coming either via email or in the app. There’s no way to manage your billing within the app. Only A link to an email address to their automated response system. After several back-and-forth message with the Robo response, I was able to get a refund.

I have no idea if the app does any good or not; but I will not stick around to find out due to their shady business practices.
  • Did get money back

I wrote another review, which gave one star. I had bought the app for $29. Then was billed about three months later $99. The same day I wrote them. I write pretty effective letters when I am angry. I told them I was going to take it up with PayPal if they didn’t heed me and then if that did not resolve the issue I was going to the Consumer Protection Bureau. The next day I got my refund. As for the app… I am in agreement that it is slow, somewhat useful, but not as useful as journaling in real life with a book, and reviewing your entries down the road.
  • Focus

One month using this ADHD application, and I'm thrilled to give it a well-deserved five-star rating. The app's in-depth understanding of ADHD has truly transformed my daily life. The insightful content and strategies provided have not only increased my awareness of ADHD but have also equipped me with practical tools to navigate challenges more effectively. It's more than just an app; it's a game-changer for anyone seeking a deeper understanding and improved management of ADHD. Highly recommended!
