  • Just another mindfulness app

Exactly the same thing as Sensa. Same daily exercises. Same half-baked user interface with obvious glitches, non-intuitive functionality, inability to avoid erasing progress in an exercise if you want to back out of something halfway through a survey. Same light-on-content daily programs. Same frustrating sales pitch where they tell you it’s on sale, you make the purchase, and then they try to sell you a bunch more stuff, which causes you to wonder, “how much of this stuff do I actually have to buy for the purchase to be worthwhile?”

There’s value in any opportunity or routine of checking in on yourself and deliberately relating to your emotions and these apps do help with that. But the crappy UX, very light content, and sales pitch makes them feel scammy. I’ll keep using this one but I think writing about your thoughts in a journal for five minutes over breakfast is cheaper and at least as effective as using one of these apps. Save your money for therapy copays.
  • TERRIBLE APP! And quite possibly a scam

This app doesn’t do what it promised. I took a quiz and was told I would receive a personalized plan of action in my email, but there was no email or plan. When I did download the app and log into my account, there was no report there either.

The features of the app are very, very poorly thought out, with little room to personalize the features. For example, I was supposed to choose tasks I wanted to complete—the closest option was “clean house,” but there was no way to make it more specific (e.g., wash dishes, clear off table, clean bathroom). “Clean house” is not going to help anyone who procrastinates take action. The app is so poorly thought out that it makes me wonder about whether it’s just a cover for some type of scam.

I contacted them for a refund, and to their credit they responded promptly, but they wrote me back that they had canceled my subscription (I signed up for one month only – I did not sign up for a subscription!). I wrote again reiterating that I wanted a refund of what I had already paid (I used the app for less than an hour). I am still waiting for them to respond… I made a complaint to Apple.
  • Buyer beware

I had a resolutty account that was migrated to Liven. I have been trying to weeks to get logged into my (now) Liven account only to be told that I don’t have an account. I have contacted support several times and even sent them the “proof” that they asked (screen shot of the app telling me I don’t have an account). I have yet to get a response. I can’t even cancel the subscription because I cannot get a response.

I suspect that even if you buy Liven as a new customer, you will have the same lack of support. Do not recommend.
  • Got a refund

I purchased the trial but found the app to be unhelpful. Then I found a charge for a full subscription had been made to my Paypal account, but I hadn’t gotten a notification that the trial had ended and I would be charged for a full subscription. After some back-and-forth, I got a refund. Please note their “money back guarantee” doesn’t apply if you just don’t like the program.
  • Great customer service

I procrastinated too hard and never really ended up using the app and forgot to cancel subscription until after it charged me again…lol. But I sent a message explaining what happened and they responded immediately and I received a full refund. Awesome customer service for a problem that was my own fault!
  • Not For Me

I bought the 6 month subscription with the hopes it would help me. After a day of using, it really wasn’t for me. I was afraid I’d just wasted a bunch of money, and did not have high hopes when I asked for a refund. To my surprise, they got back to me quickly and had no issues canceling and refunding the money! I feel they deserve 5 stars just for that.
  • Scam app

According to the support team, this app used to be called Resolutty, which no longer exists. I tried Resolutty - it was janky and offered minimal useful information in a really boring way. I recently remembered that I had paid for Resolutty content and didn’t finish the course, so I tried to open Reaolutty, and it didn’t work. I downloaded this app but couldn’t log in. The app said that my account “may have been deleted.” (It appears that is the case.)

The developer clearly had no plan to switch over user accounts. They didn’t inform me that they were doing away with Resolutty and replacing it with a new app (this one), so it doesn’t seem like I’ll get to finish my Resolutty course.

It’s not worth subscribing or paying anything for this app or any app from this developer I believe. Resolutty offered minimal helpful content, and the developer clearly just doesn’t care about customers (or maybe even has a sound business plan). They’re just taking money and recycling poorly written material. Try an actually helpful app! Don’t fall for the Instagram ads.

    Developer Response

Hello there, all users who recently used our old application were moved to a new one. If your account was not moved please contact our customer support at support@theliven.com to get your account updated.
  • Not transparent

I took a “quiz” on their instagram ad and was lead to a sales landing page that didn’t show what the app was like or the experience you’re about to pay for, only “imagine what life will be like!” 🤦‍♀️ So i downloaded the app so I could first see if it was something worth paying for and something I’d look forward to using… While their front/home page says “explore the app”… they don’t offer ANYTHING without full payment. I’m all for “we make quality and it costs money”… But the sales are 1990’s infomercial-like (like all the others with identical apps) and then when you download the app they are misleading… I’ve made the mistake of trusting apps that require investment before revealing anything but promises and got burned. I highly suggest either offering a free trial (even 3 days) OR be up front and clearly state you don't do free trials, you cant look around until you pay.
  • Very efficient

I’m making progress thanks to this app. I’m sticking with my one day tasks and completing them and even an extra one here and there. I reorganized my closet today. Im sticking with completing this app everyday. I’m learning it’s ok to miss a day but never more than two. I’m definitely accomplishing more goals and I can see my progress.
