    I made an error when trying to cash a check, so after I had already voided it, the transaction was declined, and it said I could not resubmit the check. I called customer service immediately. 1st of all, the wait was just a few minutes. 2nd, the customer support rep, Talacia, was super nice. I explained what happened, she took a moment to look at the transaction history. She told me she had passed the info on to the correct department, and asked if I’d like her to email me a response instead of me having to wait on the phone. I said ok, thinking it would be hours. Within minutes, maybe 3, I received an email telling me to resubmit a pic of the voided check. I did, and my account was funded. I called back just to make sure I was clear on what to do so this won’t happen again. I spoke with Gia, another outstanding customer support rep. I have never had a better customer service experience! These two ladies were just amazing. Kind, patient, and knowledgeable.

    These guys are awesome! There are times when a check is rejected and I don’t understand why, but overall this is an excellent service for folks like me.

    I had a problem twice, both times they were VERY accomodating. That is more than I can say for Chime, a neobank that has gotten ridiculous for rejecting all kinds of checks, 4 in a row was enough for me. Ingo is a LIFESAVER if you have these problems. Yes there is a fee, but let me tell you, if you do not have an account with the bank the check given to you is drawn off of, they charge you MORE than Ingo does to cash their OWN check! It’s robbery and thats all to it! Truist bank is the worst at $8 no matter how small it is.

    Use Ingo, the small fee is nothing compared to having your money in your account to pay your bills on time and avoid late fees on car notes, CC’s and more.

  • Does not accept NYS users :(

    I was super ecstatic to start using this app, considering I could just take a picture of my check and upload it, rather than having to make a trip to the actual bank. So I was putting in all my information and everything was going fine. I stated I was in NYS by my address and even with my cards being linked to NYS and nothing was flagged or anything. So you can imagine my surprise and frustration when I go to take a picture of my check and they state “the Ingo check cashing service is currently unavailable within the state of New York.” If this is the case, why would the app allow me to go through the states and select New York more than once while I am setting up my account, and linking not one but TWO cards all of which clearly state I am in the state of New York? If you are not offering it in a certain state, do not make users believe they can benefit from your app. I know it states “currently unavailable” so I am guessing ya’ll are working on making it available for us NYS people. But please do not make it an option before you offer it because that is false advertising. Please remove it or offer it in NYS. I hope you take my review into consideration! :)
