  • Greedy B”s

IFTTT is just another heartless entity to sell out and screw over ALL of the users who made them successful. F U!
  • Hate the applet limit.

Can you give us ads or something hate it now will be deleting.
  • £10/month. Don’t be ridiculous

This used to be my favourite app, but since other smart apps and home devices have got cleverer about communicating together this isn’t as good as it was. I can get by without it.

Why doesn’t it mention this new charge on the App Store? That sounds dodgy and must go against Apple’s requirements.

Why does Apple allow the developer to get away with black-mailing all users to pay up or lose most functionality. Especially long term users who have already paid for it many years ago.

It’s certainly not worth £10/month. This trend by iOS app suppliers of extorting money by threatening to remove the app of service isn’t a good one, and reflects badly on Apple.

Below are my thoughts for the many years I used this app before the attempted extortion to pay £10/month

    5 stars

Superb, but I’d love to see conditional formatting.

I love this app and use it to send notifications that cannot be easily done otherwise. It would be fantastic if conditional formatting could be added such as If this or/and this then that.
Thanks for integrating with Google Home.

  • Always slow... free will be slower??

I have been running IFTTT for years an I have never been satisfied, why would I pay for this???

I had been excited about IFTTT when I installed it, the concept is great. After a while of trying to configure, I was disappointed in the app workflows and limited abilities, and the app itself was incredibly slow and buggy, none of which has been fixed. I wanted to help, but customer support was not available. I never got to set up the thing I downloaded the app for in the first place.

I’ve been running my applets for a few years now and I’ve been experiencing HOURS of delay on all of them, and when I sought support for it, it was listed as a known issue that has yet to be fixed. Many of my applets randomly break, and I don’t bother to fix them because they’re so slow it’s not useful.

Now they tell me I need to upgrade to pro or my applets will be archived (custom applets are the only ones I find useful, anything else I can do in another app), customer support won’t be available (it never has been), and execution will be EVEN SLOWER???

COME ON. I’m not going to pay, even a small price, for an app that has been a terrible experience the entire time. Your free introductory period is supposed to be a time to impress customers, but I’m not hooked. I wonder how many others feel the same way.

Appreciate the feedback. We understand if Pro is not for you. While Pro does offer faster Applet execution, users of our Standard, free forever plan, should not have their speed impacted. If you've noticed an issue with speed of a particular Applet, you can file a support ticket through our help center: https://help.ifttt.com/hc/en-us/requests/new or tweet us, @IFTTT. Thanks!
  • New Pro App

I’ve been an IFTTT user for many years and have been impressed with its functionality and user benefits.
Now it’s going to charge a you-set-the-price for its Pro version that adds conditional logic. I get that developers need revenue to build, sustain, and improve their apps, and I’m supportive of that need and providing that revenue.
But I don’t know JavaScript to take advantage of the app’s new conditional logic. Would the developer please respond to this post about whether their new Pro version has a built-in automated help menu for users like me who want to use the new features of IFTTT but who aren’t familiar with JavaScript.
I’m willing to pay, but after doing so will the app be useless to me if no “guided help” is available for its new conditional logic?

Hi! We understand your concerns. Right now, the best resources for how to build with Pro are in our Help Center, like this article on Filter Code: https://help.ifttt.com/hc/en-us/articles/360052451954-Building-with-filter-code . We also are working on a series of "How-To" videos like this one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xza6jL4ch6Y&t=5s . We'll continue to expand our resources and are actively working on making the Pro composer more accessible for those without JavaScript experience.
  • So sad!

I use to love ifttt but now that it is no longer free I’ll have to find an alternative! I have around 20 applets that I use and there is no way I’m going to pay for something like this!!! 👎
  • Terrible. Do not upgrade to Pro version!

Signed up for the pro version and there is an issue that I need resolved but there is absolutely no way to contact support.
  • Useful for running things at a certain time

The only reason why I have this app is so I can run things at a certain time automatically because Shortcuts can’t do that (you have to tap a notification). However, you can’t run shortcuts in IFTTT, which is a bit annoying. Also, the new pro feature, which limits everyone on the ‘standard’ plan to 3 custom applets, is also disappointing as most of my applets were ones that I made.

  • The new “pro” service is a stab in the back for customers

As a home automation enthusiast I am disappointed that IFTTT has made the decision to turn their backs on the community that helped build there business. Companies like HUE, Google, Amazon pay IFTTT to use their logo on their products. They pay IFTTT already. By making this change IFTTT is double dipping.

My Hue and Google products say works with IFTTT. IFTTT has now changed what we have offered for years out of greed. I bought several products because they said works with IFTTT and now only 3 applets work without paying $9.99 a year. They have a promotion for existing customers but that also is a stab in the back.

I have since deleted my IFTTT account and have moved to Home Assistant.

  • Service ruined

App has gone pay. Only 3 are free :( I have 48 recipes. Wished you would just add more functions to Pro vs limiting the free option. Especially for existing users
