Cannot report cars with incorrect number
Occasionally drivers show up with wrong license plate, which is dangerous and should be considered a strict violation. Bolt apparently doesn’t agree it’s putting passengers at risk since the app doesn’t even have an option to report this when cancelling the ride. (It’s necessary to cancel since drivers pretend they can’t cancel or pressure riders to cancel even though they’ve chosen to break the rules by driving an unknown car.)

Constant Cancellations
Great App, Wonderful and hard working Drivers. Extremely annoying though is how often rides get cancelled by drivers while waiting or ignored during the matching phase.
I am also unable to easily see where to tip the drivers after the ride is completed.

I used Bolt before in South East Asia with no problem, so decided to give it a go in London. Long story short, I ordered a car to the city center and the driver arrive at the place in like 10 minutes walk from me. I have an issue with my leg and using crotches and of course I wouldn’t walk there to get the car. I called the driver who refused to go to the order location. Next, the driver canceled the ride and I was charged a cancellation fee of 7 pounds. I was outraged by the situation and screenshotted the Bolt map that showed the order location and where the driver stopped which in my world would serve as a proof of a faulty service. I contacted Bolt support and talked to 2 different support agents who both refused my refund claim. They just completely ignored the screenshot and kept claiming that the driver was waiting for me at the order location for 4 minutes which was not true. Even tough I can’t run I am not blind. The driver was nowhere around and according to the map was waiting at the location the distance to which no one would be able to cover in 4 minutes. Awful customer service, awful experience, beware and switch to Uber!

Can’t use the app in KL
Out of nowhere I receive an error message that the data are in an incorrect format. The app stop working since a few days. Tried to reinstall it nothing works.
Worst, most unreliable of all the ride sharing apps
I recently tried Bolt on a trip to Lisbon, and it is far inferior to Uber, Grab, FreeNow or other ride sharing apps I’ve tried. For starters, the app seems to have a harder time accurately pinpointing your location, which can be confusing if you are in an unfamiliar place. Also, their drivers are unreliable and dishonest. The first two times I tried Bolt, both drivers made us get out several blocks from our requested location, claiming that cars couldn’t go down those roads. But then as we were waking towards the desired location, we saw cars going on those streets - cars, taxis, etc. I think the drivers are trying to save on gas or fit in more rides per day by dropping passengers off short of their destination. I decided to give Bolt one more try, and that driver didn’t show up, nor did they respond to my calls or texts! Three strikes and you’re out. I’ll stay with other ride sharing apps like Uber, thank you.

Cheap but hard to use
Slightly cheaper than grab but hard to select the correct pickup point and sometimes takes forever to find a ride

No drivers, always cancel when you get one
This app is useless, no drivers and then they always cancel when you get one.
